A breakdown of your brain cleaning itself during sleep.
sleep is #1
I sleep a lot but none of it is "deep sleep". What the hell is going on?
Just bought a weighted blanket online (a lot going on ebay for half price or better in my area). I heard they're quite good for those who have trouble sleeping even if they're not autistic?
I always smoke weed before I sleep and I’m always tired all day despite getting 8 hours
Is there any research that shows a correlation between weed and poor sleep
No REM sleep bc weed
Weed/alcohol blocks your rem sleep. So it might feel like you sleep like a baby after smoking but you're really not. I'd quit that shit if I were you my man.
>do you take sleeping aids?
Seroquel, 25-50mg.
I have insomnia on steroids and have had it for years, last time I had a good night of sleep without drugs must have been a few years ago now. It come in seasonal waves but these last 12 months it's just remained permanent.
I've tried it all and the only drug that's given me good results is Seroquel, it will get you to sleep and *deep* asleep with a few hours of taking it. It's side effects are all kinda meh at first expect for the hunger, oh my fucking god the hunger. You will easily destroy thousands of calories in a single sitting, when I was living alone I'd manage it by buying food just for that day in the morning and so there wasn't anything left when the hunger came.
Chiefly because it changes the way you feel about food too, imagine starving for a few days and then eating your favorite food. Then imagine it's that feeling on every bite, and you don't get satisfied until you're absolutely stuffed. I do OMAD and that only slows down my weight gain.
Now though I want to get off it, I'm going to be a fucking diabetic at this rate but quitting it is hard. On days where I don't take it I'll take forever to get to sleep, then when I do I'll only get about 5 hours max before I wake up and feel like shit and won't go back to sleep. Zopiclone, stilnox, valium, melatonin, herbs, fucking forget it.
Days with shit sleep are basically write off days and given what I do for work I have to be all systems go and people depend on me to get things right, so it's hard. If any anons have experience with Seroquel I'll hang around to talk about it.
how "weighted" is it?
i always sleep with a duvet because i like the feeling, sleeping with just sheets is creepy
Why is it creepy....? If you sleep well who cares
It's 9kg but it's a pretty big one so less weight per surface area. They recommend you get one 10% of your body weight that isn't too wide for you.
I used to think the piss jugs thing was a stupid meme but when I lived in a house where the toilet was downstairs with an extremely loud and creaky staircase in a house with a barking dog and angry housemates, I ended up using one and holy shit what a difference it makes because you don't wake yourself up so much as with talking to the toilet and turning lights on, you just piss and go back to sleep.
Sure it's gross but if you're by yourself who cares and I'll put up with it to get a better nights sleep.
feels naked with just sheets
that's...really heavy, but it does sound /comfy/
What's the best way to fix my sleep pattern without using melatonin? I'm thinking I'll just set my alarm for my target time to wake up regardless of how much sleep I got the night before, and hopefully this will get my body to start going to bed earlier.
Melatonin isn't even bad for you if anything its good for you, it just stops working if you take it too often or doesn't work so well for other people.
I can't get it unless I go to the doctor because I live in a retarded country.
>thesleepdoctor.com
>health.harvard.edu
so many articles that talk about getting better sleep seem to say stuff that is just already obvious to people getting bad sleep
turn the lights out and no phone before bed, wow gee thanks
Australia?
You can order it online legally. But a doctor should still prescribe it because wtf it's just Melatonin.
>order it online legally
Where? I can get the homeopathic garbage that doesn't work, and some legit stuff on ebay that's overpriced and might not even be real.
iherb is a good website
cheers
Why do I only seem to get restful sleeps while cuddling my gf?
I sleep like shit when i'm at home alone how can I fix this
kill yourself. Eternal peaceful sleep
Fucking hell the intricacies of nature are amazing
Take less, retard
- dr. sleepy
Seroquel needs to be at a critical mass to really work properly. Anything below 25mg doesn't have less effect, it has no effect.
Lol paywall link for an article you didn't read that didn't talk about phones.
Good one, redditor
Read this and it will genuinely change your life
40mg of melatonin a night does the trick. It knocks me out for a good 18+ hours a night. I'm literally time traveling through life.
Quetiapine doesn't need "critical mass" to be effective, donkey fuck.
% receptor binding seems to be more important for the dopamine agonist effect the drug has. Depending on the symptom, anything from 10%-60% binding can used for effective treatment.
Do you ever read, or are you a redditor?
Is there any magic pill that I can take 30 minutes before bed to knock me out and give me high quality sleep?
Melatonin. Take 40mg of it. You will be in deep sleep for 18+hours. I use it daily.
>18+ hours a night
Imagine the gains
