Why does it feel like every skinny teenager with long-ish arms can get a 600lbs deadlift in like a year...

Why does it feel like every skinny teenager with long-ish arms can get a 600lbs deadlift in like a year, and there's no similar phenomenon with squat and bench.

Like there is such a huge discrepancy on that specific lift for some reason, some people will get fat as fuck and never even break 500, meanwhile some twinks will reach 700 in a couple of years without even gaining any weight.

I would also like to know the answer to this

deadlift is one of those lifts though that you can unironically get to 405 lb for reps, just by doing one heavy set once to twice a week

normies only care about bench though.

I think that's because dl need a mostly strong spine.
Bench need big stonk chest and arms, better if they are short.
Squat need big strong legs.

honestly this has always baffled me aswell. seems whenever i go to my gym theres some twink diddlying 495 for reps

this, though squat helps deadlift numbers for sure

it's always cringey though when someone says "the deadlift uses every muscle in your body" when you're really just making spine gains

i have a really long torso and i squat 4pl8 after 1,5 year of training but i am 10lbs below 2,5pl8 bench and below 10lbs below 4,5pl8 deadlift

Because deadlift is pure leverages.

Mostly leverages. This goes for Squat and Bench too but not as much as the deadlift.
Kboeey has retarded leverages due to his short torso and long arms. Just look at his lockout in pic related. It's stupid.

Because deadlift is a meme lift. People fuck their spines up so they can feel good about having a really big number for one lift

There are a few powerlifters that try to be all cool and new group of heavy lifters going after the jersey juice gang, but they are fucking twinks and look like shit. Even that guy sawyer klatt, he is strong af but still gets mogged in muscularity by wesker guys

Don't do deadlifts. When I was in highschool early college I used to do 405 for 5. Always would use good form, straight back. Then I herniated two discs in my back. I gained nothing from the deadlifts that I couldn't from other exercises and now will be in pain the rest of my life.
You young fucks think you will be young and pain free forever, but believe me it will eventually catch up and you will have to pay the man back.

>Why does it feel like every skinny teenager with long-ish arms can get a 600lbs deadlift in like a year

Because you spend waaay too much time on youtube and instagram. In reality 600+ pullers are rare outside of powerlifting gyms. I go to a big comercial gym and aside from me there's 1-2 other guys that can pull over 600.

BUT to answer your question, the reason a lot of skinny guys can pull so heavy, while their bench and squat are shit, is because the deadlift is the lift that's least correlated with muscle mass. The deadlift is all about levearages. Of course some guy with monkey arms can pull heavy, his ROM is like that of a rack pull.

I am not a manlet, so I have a long torso.
This causes a ton of torque at the hip level, which multiples the force of 405lbs many times over, which the discs are not designed for long term.
I know you are a torsolet and brainlet so you wouldn't understand this.

...breh

>Mostly leverages. This goes for Squat and Bench too but not as much as the deadlift.
this
Kirill didn't have short arms but still held the bench record
on the other hand you will *never* see a deadlift record holder who doesn't have freakingly long arms and a short torso.
it's literally just a leverage contest
not a fucking day goes by without some 185lbs 18yo breaking 700
>tfw average leverages and deadlift is my favourite lift
>tfw had to train hard as fuck, go up to 220lbs bw just so I could pull 300kg @RPE 11 after 3+ years lifting
>tfw mogged by any skinny instagram fuckboy with long arms nowadays

WHO
IS
THIS

hahahahaha kbooey fucking cunt

Monica Granda, coombrains.

Thanks for the (you) bro

>muh long torso

I guarnatee you your torso isn't longer than Eddie Hall's or Hafthor's so shut the fuck up, you whiny pussy. You lifted with shit form and got hurt.

>ywn pull 335kg while being natty and lean as fuck

>best bench press: 150kg

Yeah it's pretty weird how redditors complain about SS low deadlift frequency, and recommend meme programs like 5/3/1 with 8 sets of deadlifts a week.
Meanwhile the actually nstrong IPF competitors in my gym only deadlift once every two weeks.

> yoou're a fucking idiot. Torso length doesn't determine the moment arm from hip to barbell. That's mostly femur length. A longer torso means you'll be more upright lol weak retard who cuodltn figre out deadliftsd

iirc it's 170kg @80 or so
which is actually surprisingly good

>I am not a manlet, so I have a long torso.
short torso is a manlet trait bro. manlets typically have short limbs and longer torsos relative to their height.

Now imagine they do sumo. I do sumo as well so I can't talk shit about it cus muh fucked leverages but still annoying to see these monkey arm twinks barely break a sweat repping heavy weight with minimal rom

20 kg bar, 75 on each side? above 3 plate at 80 kg>> impressive

According to the IPF, it's 150kg.

gym lifts count and the ipf is cancer
