Zercher squats > back squats

zercher squats > back squats
>works out your upper back and core far more than back squats
>forces you to stick to proper squatting form by design, whereas back squats do not (especially if you don't cross your arms to avoid rounding your back)
>zero long-term spinal compression
It's time to take the Zercher Pill, user-tachi.

that looks like it destroys your elbows or some shit. no thanks

>doing zercher squats as a secondary lift
Eternally based
>replacing back squats as a main lift with anything ever
Permatwink

no, just try it, if you keep your back, core, and glutes tight, there will be little to no loading on the elbow joints because they're tucked in. there will naturally be some loading on the biceps, however.

>im weak, so let me pick the biggest meme exercises so nobody will know

OP we all know this is you trying to cope with not having a squat rack. Just focus on deadlifts and maybe high rep front squats. Don't do this meme lift.

>OP we all know this is you trying to cope with not having a squat rack.
This would be the best way to do that though. It wouldn't even warrant the name cope. It's just adapting.

time to shut the fuck up

Literally just do weighted split squats

My reasoning for the zercher squat is that you pick it up with a deadlift so it doesn't really limit the amount of weight you can squat. Are heavy steinborns feasible? I've never tried.

>My reasoning for the zercher squat is that you pick it up with a deadlift so it doesn't really limit the amount of weight you can squat
How are you imagining this without a visit to snap city

I'm not imagining anything. Deadlifting and then squatting down and resting the bar on your legs or simply zerchering it from the floor are both legitimate ways to set up a zercher squat.
Start light, obviously. The "lift with your legs not your back" meme has done a number on our lower backs.

you can also do bear hug squats with a sandbag.

khajiit has wares?

based ricc de la sticc

Name 1 reason why I should destroy my elbows with this retarded excercise instead of front squatting?

odd object lifting is amazing for building up stabiliser muscles and overall brute strength.
no squat rack required.

well then get some pads margery theres no need to strain your vagina sweetheart

>doesn't work your legs
They're based but not a replacement for back squats
As much as atlas stones destroy your back. Ease into it and you'll eventually be able to hold 4-5 corpses there

Cant, they're all unavailable or overpriced by $500 on second hand markets.

Steinborns are extremely hard. You'll expend a lot of energy just getting the weight on your back. I can see it working if you're doing volume with light weight

sandbags are incredibly cheap and easy to make. you can build up a strong body with them.

They are fun to lift also since its pure functional strength. I do one sandbag session a week and always look forward to it.

Or maybe you could just do frontsquats instead of copesquats.

>back squats
>cross arms to avoid rounding back
what the fuck? How the fuck would you cross your arms while doing a back squat? going to balance the bar on your upper back/neck perfectly as you squat?
going to keep the bar on your back and fold your arms like a front squat, and just hold on for dear life?
