Has anyone had bad experiences from fasting (like 48h fasts)?

Has anyone had bad experiences from fasting (like 48h fasts)?

Anyone go from CICO cutting to fasting and see much better results?

I do 72 hours fasts consecutively right now. Lost 50 pounds in three months and feel great.

I've only ever done fasts for that long leading up to longer meditation sessions... I don't feel like it's done anything for me weight-wise but I say go for it but stay hydrated

I went from 270 to 160 in about eight months in 2018 doing 48-72 hours a couple times a week, plus cardio. I'm at 190 currently, which is fat as fuck cause I'm only 5 feet 8. Something I've learned, cardio in the heat drops weight like nothing else, it's a lot more effective for fat loss than cardio in the cold. It's weird, jogging or sprinting in the cold is more painful because of having to breathe in a shit ton of cold air, but your body ends up doing a lot more work to regulate temperature when it's hot as balls out

Hey nigga can I get all the snake juice shit I need from the grocery store or do I need to order it? I want to into fasting but I can definitely tell the electrolyte things is fucking with me and that’s just on low calories. Been using MIO but I wanna do it the right way when I actually do 48s/72s.

Also, stay hydrated like this guy said, but if you're consuming more than a liter of water a day, take in electrolytes (e.g. snake juice, which is a liter of water plus a teaspoon of potassium chloride and sodium chloride)

Yea just get fake salt (no salt is my brand) that is pure potassium chloride and sea salt (make sure it’s pure sodium chloride) and baking soda

This.

Drinking water is good for a while but without anything to absorb it and help deliver it were it needs to go, you're doing yourself no good

Oh and eat a shitton of protein, like 200g when you refeed. I didn't have enough protein in my refeeds and I lost a massive amount of strength, I could deadlift four plates mixed grip when I was a lardass

Ok for non-fatties trying to fast

I'm 5'9 177 lbs coming off a bulk. If I do say 2-3 fasts a week between 48h and 72h, how many lbs a week could I lose? Eating maintenance in between fasts

Don’t use mio

been doing 48hr fasts for last 2 months and lost 22 pounds so far
eating ~1500 calories and aiming for 100g protein that i mostly get through chicken breast and cottage cheese. Plus, you dont need snake juice for 48 hour fasts

i only have a bad experience like passing out or extreme sweats when i dont drink the snake juice. tried to toughen a 48 out and still needed some.

you can get the salts separate or just get this

and i thought i had wide hips, his are literally as wide as his shoulders jfc

i dont think thats his hips, it looks mostly like bad fat distribution

you don't know what hips are. but he also likely has a super wide pelvis too under all that fat.

fasting is just CICO to the extreme, you can't get less CALORIES IN than 0.

Is there an exercise to tighten this skin on the sides of the stomach, or does that shit just tighten as you lose weight or something?

weightloss

Negative calories. Fast while doing continuous muscle sparing low intensity cardio like walking all day.

lose skin isnt really a huge issue if you lose your weight slowly over time. you cant target fast loss, but you can accelerate it by doing liss cardio in a fasted state and drinking caffeine

24h / 36h fasts are fine. I preferred those, but only because going to 48h and beyond always lead to huge muscle loss. I tried a 60h fast once and lost more muscle than fat overall which really bummed me out by sabotaging the rest of my cut.

Now I do CICO. But not because fasting didn't give results, but because I couldn't sleep, never felt hunger, libido gone etc. I've made some good progress on CICO and maintained way more muscle mass than I did through fasting, making the cut better.

24hr fast isn't really a fast.

Of course it is.

Just started this with like 36/48 hour fasts and its super dank . Like this method more than simply CICO. I think it will be easier to maintain. But we'll see. Im trying it for a month and a half/2 months and reevaluating. Im 6'4 194 rn but am trying to get to 170ish

That's just holding off on eating after waking up, not eating before bedtime and then sleeping to repeat the same thing the next day. 1 meal a day isn't a real fast.

If I'm not eating for a whole day, doesn't that make it a fast?

>because going to 48h and beyond always lead to huge muscle loss

Is this true or just anecdotal?

everything you have ever read don Yas Forums is anecdotal

It's my anecdotal experience. Experiment for yourself.

It just doesn't feel like much of an accomplishment to not be a fat fuck that stuffs your face every 4 hours or so.
