He's had 4 years to do this, and the only time he attempted, on a more flexible elephant bat, which Eddie himself said is far easier, Hafthor still failed last year.
Only way he is doing this is with Fake plates in his own gym, and he suddenly get the idea to do 501kg out of nowhere.
He'll also be wearing a deadlift suit unlike Eddie.

Just want to point out that when Eddie dethroned Mark Felix as the king of deadlift for reps in the 2014 Giants Live British Championships, he did it in his drawers and said that suits were "girly"
probably because one of his scapula is retracted more than the other. that's not a medical issue, he's just not taking it seriously enough to know how to control his body for a perfect photo like a bodybuilder would.

If Thor can beat Eddies record with the same gear (deadlift suit/belt/knee wraps/wrist straps etc, not steroids gear lol), and he used the same type of bar not an elephant shit, then it will be legitimate. While 1kg may not sound like a lot (and I admit it does sound mediocre and a tad gay) to you dyels who can’t even diddly more than 5pl8, what you need to understand is that when you start lifting big boy weight it can take forever to progress even just 1lb on these lifts unlike when you’re a newbie/intermediate and progressing every month/couple of months. Years can go by without being able to up the weight. At over 1000 fucking pounds just 1kg is a lot.
That’s my only feelings on this. So long as Thor lifts under the same conditions (bar, gear, etc) then it will be a new record as far as I’m concerned.
