vegetable oil is the worst fat for you period
how d'ya figure that?
>Are lard and butter/ghee better for you than vegetable oil in cooking?
Yes
Coconut oil isnt a vegetable oil by the way
Grain fed lard is shit but still better than vegetable oil. Everything is better than veg oil. Use butter, coconut oil, grass fed lard or tallow. All 10/10 fats. olive oil and avocado oil is good, too.
vegetable oil is unstable, hence it is a liquid at room temperature. it also has chemicals in it that impact your intestines and gut health called emulsifiers
only eat grass fed butter
do you even know the process for how they make vegetable oil? look it up. its completely synthetic
tell me what part of a vegetable produces fat or oil
The seed.
Are you an actual retard?
Yes. Lard is actually really good for you. The reason everyone turned on it was a massive marketing campaign against animal fats by the company that makes Crisco. Vegetable oil is the absolute worst thing for you, you're just ingesting a lab experiment.
yes vegetable oil is quite literal poison, animal fat is good
>lard
no
>ghee
perfect
You couldn't just google this?
> Not knowing what emulsifiers are.
No goyim, don't eat traditional fats consumed for tens of thousands of years by your ancestors, instead eat these oils requiring industrial farming (not necessarily bad), solvent extraction, deodorizing, and hydrogenization using a manufacturing process only invented in the past 120 years, containing polyunsaturated fatty acids in amounts never seen in nature.
That also release known carcinogens (and not just by the state of California) while cooking.
Where do I even get lard from? My grandma always swore by it, but I don't want to pay some money grubbing corporation that's cutting with with vegetable oil anyway. Are there good sources y'all recommend?
You’ve got to collect your own from meat you cook yourself in a can in your fridge like a Mexican
Try looking up local farmers that might sell it, or look online for small-scale farms that you could try ordering from.
>butter is healthier than margarine
>trans fats are unhealthy
>butter has a small amount of trans fat, while margarine has none
Explain yourselves, Yas Forums.
Yes
Peanut oil is better than vegetable, but use butter.
Just stick with butter or olive oil. Non stick spray for everything else
Margarine and Crisco don't have transfats NOW, they used to a few years ago. If you've ever seen "partially hydrogenated basedbean/whatever oil" it has transfats. They were banned and now they use interesterfication instead of just hydrogenation.
So is today’s margarine on the same level as butter from a health standpoint? Or still no because of all the vegetable oil? Please be patient, I am brainlet.
>release known carcinogens while cooking
Does olive oil do this as well? I use it to cook sometimes. Figured it was healthier than canola oil. Am I giving myself cancer, bros?
Olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, animal fat like butter or lard are all completely fine and should be your go to for oils
Vegetable oil like sunflower, peanut, anything that has been refined and has a fuckton of ingredients is a must avoid, they tend to be also the cheapest ones so they are easy to filter
I looked at my tube of margarine and it has a mix of soibean oil and palm oil. Palm oil is ok but soibean oil is pretty shit. It's also highly processed. Butter or Ghee would probably be better for cooking, but I don't think margarine on toast would be bad, since it's not cooking or smoking.
Good to know. The only time I use margarineis on toast. I grill all my meat with olive oil, if any oil at all. I’ll be sure to research this further. Thanks, anons.
There is absolutely no significant nutritional difference between grass and grain fed animal products dumbass
You're good bro.
Notice how all the plant oils listed are the ones acquired by mechanical separation rather than hexane extraction + more steps.
>like a Mexican
Or like any white family 50 years ago. Eat shit
See how many ears of corn you have to wring out to get a single tablespoon of corn oil. You don’t think it’s somehow fucking you up by consuming the amount of corn oil you would get from eating up to 100 ears of corn everyday? Olive and avocado oils are different because those are fatty plants.
