>tfw severe tinnitus
I don’t think I can go on like this anymore, lads.
Tfw severe tinnitus
How severe? How long have you had it?
I'm genuinely sorry to hear that dude I have it mildly and it been like that for a few years, when it first started I immeadiately stopped using earbuds/headphones and I got to say it never got worse.
I don't have advice dude you should look up stuff on youtube, it might help.
Mildly for four or five years and severely for the past year.
Yeah, headphones are fucking evil. I’ve tried everything but mushrooms which supposedly can help some people’s.
You can endure any burden op. Severe tinnitus and autoimmune hearing loss here too, it sucks shit and it makes life harder, but stick with it, it can only break your spirit if you let it
I've had it for 13 years
Fuck, man, I’m trying but I feel my will slipping every day.
I've got it too, mainly on one side. Thankfully it's not too bad but worse when stressed. Mine started either from doing neck harness exercises or Wim Hof Method.
I think I read somewhere that Magnesium supplement can cure it
Sucks. Any tips?
maybe that explains why I haven't had it too bad for a few months, didn't even realize it was mostly gone. It's there but it's really faint now.
Have you ever had it switch sides? that used to happen randomly to me
Sorry bro, if there's anything that actually helps I haven't found it.
i have it pretty bad too, only way i can fall asleep is if i have audio playing in my room like a youtube video
Not him but mine switches every few months.
Just be careful, ’cause I actually made mine worse by playing white noise to help me sleep too loud trying to drown out the ringing.
High blood pressure can worsen tinnitus.
Since you are on fit I am assuming you are not fat, but if you smoke a cig or drink too much caffeine it will spike your blood pressure.
I got mild tinnitus out of nowhere for a few weeks once. Immediately dropped using earphones and bought a speaker. Now it only comes back if I use earphones for an extended period of time
I hope you didn't listen to white noise with earphones.
It's supposed to be an environmental noise like a speaker or loud fan or something.
Not switch but sometimes the other side comes on and then goes away again. Unless I'm in a silent room, I can't really hear it
Speaker but still. Earphones are what gave it to me so bad in the first place.
i usually save a commentary video like some kripparian hearthstone vid to play beside me while i fall asleep something where someone is kinda explaining whats going on on the screen so i dont get too focused on actually watching it and not sleeping
Have you tried a box fan? Don't need it pointed on you, just on.
Around christmas 2017 I got this weird hyper sensitivity to sound that was almost painful, but thankfully it receded and I now only react when I hear shattering glass or something similarly sharp noise
I also have tinnitus but I've had that since like 2013 and it doesn't bother me
I only notice it when I consciously think about it, otherwise I'm fine. I'm not even sure if it's real or my brain is just making it up. It sounds like the beep when TV signal cuts out
my tinnitus isnt the known ringing like in the videogames, for me it feels like the muscles are spamming and its kinda clicks real fast
am i dying
I'm sorry bro, I've had mild tinnitus for a long time and its recently gotten a good bit worse so I know what you're going through. Nights are the worst, it makes me feel almost claustrophobic, knowing that something is messed up in my head like that. I'll repeatedly try to pop my ears or move my jaw to lessen it but it doesn't help.
If you feel like its getting to you very badly at any point you can't ruminate on it. For me its always when I'm laying in bed trying to sleep. If I start to get in my own head about it I'll get up and go for a walk at night. Anything to take your mind off it before you go down the hole of thinking about it and stressing and it getting worse and stressing more
i hurt my eardrum 3 years ago and it's been popped (like when you change altitude) since. it's so fucking irritating
I've had it for 5 years now. One night I went to a club, got drunk and when I woke up there was a ringing in my ears. The ringing never left me and I continued to go clubbing making it worse. Now its up to the point where if I'm busy doing things and it gets quiet I focus on it. I pay attention to it around 10 times a day, mostly in bed. Sometimes I ask myself how could I have been so stupid to still go clubbing when my ears were already fucked? Can't change it now, the best remedy is to try to forget about it easier said than done.
>headphones are fucking evil
Just like every other inanimate object people label "evil," it's just plastic. There's nothing wrong with headphones or using them, there's only something wrong with IDIOTS who turn them up too loud despite the entire world telling them not to. No evil involved anywhere.
idk i tired things like a fan and rain noise and white noise but they dont help me sleep but they do help tinnitus
Fuck sake why did you have to make this post, I had forgotten about it for a few months
>tfw had it since I was 7
Don't take kratom, it can cause/worsen tinnitus.
You're not wrong, but you took a figure of speech literally. Your autism is showing.
I've had it for at least 7 years, I just try to avoid silence. I sleep with the tv on a sleep timer but without it's terrible
