yay or nay?
Keto
Heart attack
Only cyclical or targeted for performance, full keto is shit if you need explosiveness/power.
If loosing weight / bettering your health Is your goal then yes
I think for cutting its great
I meant yay
Probably good to do once a year for like 2-3 months before the beach/summer time.
Since you lose the carb water weight from it you will look leaner. Even if you get it back when you eat normally who cares winter is coming.
mouthbreather
grease-ball
I bet you eat less than 2 eggs a day
I bet you run like 50 metres before everything goes dark
this, cant train oly lifts for shit on keto, its great for losing weight and i feel amazing on it though.
it just goes red from the sun when I close my eyes actually
Only good if you actually do it. Most people I see doing Keto just add on a bunch of fat to their existing diet.
do you mean they think they can eat whatever they want as long as its not carbs and just get fat instead
> Meme weight loss diet.
> Impairs athletic performance
> Zero professional athletes or Olympians who are keto
Big nay
If you're after weight loss, then it's great.
I've lost 208lbs so far on keto.
So yea.
For me, it's nay.
You do not lose fat any faster on a low carb diet. You just lose water weight which gives the illusion of fat lost.
Your muscles need glycogen to lift heavy things. Eat carbs.
>You just lose water weight which gives the illusion of fat lost.
Doesn't this still make you look leaner? So keto would be good to do before going to the beach to look leaner. Who cares if you gain it all back after that.
No, I mean they buy high fat "keto" food but then continue eating crap full of carbs while washing it down with glasses of wine. They excuse this behavior by saying "it was a treat" or "just a couple of slices of pizza won't hurt anything". Most people who have jumped on the keto bandwagon are still consuming well over 100g of carbs per day. When they don't lose weight, it becomes just another "fad diet that doesn't work" instead of admitted that they did it wrong.
Im after fat loss and looking leaner
Sorry to hear about your gf. Hope the next one weighs less.
Are you an Olympian or pro athlete?
I like eating low carbs. Idc if it's not ideal if I start eating carbs I can't help but overeat them and my energy levels are weird. I don't adhere to it 100% but keeping carbs under 20% just helps me feel better.
my gf is on the keto diet and she has lost around 15 kilos, if thats your goal then go for it
keto is a macro routine. its 70% fat. Keto is NOT atkins (the best thing ever)
I'd say it works great if you're trying to slim down for an big event (wedding, social reunion, swimsuit season) and youre only going to be doing it for a short while.
But unless you're epileptic, theres no reason to do keto full time. you'll start feeling like shit after bout three months (most of my experiences)
For cutting yeah
For bulking nah, doable but too hard
For diabetics/people with chronic inflamatory diseases it's mandatory because it reverses all that shit, but if you haven't spent your carbs life quota with sugary shit then you don't need it but I guess you can prevent it
My father is a diabetic and I started peeing a lot lately maybe im a prediabetic
I should prob do it
My father was diabetic and I got prediabetes at 22 year old, was never obese I just ate high carb and high protein and had like 6 meals a day, have been doing keto for 6 months, was going to get tested again but corona happened, feel great
same
im 23 like 20%bf cause I bulked during winter
planned on cutting but dont want to do that without lifting to avoid losing muscle. Will do it once the gyms reopen and do keto.
Just eating at maintenance calories now
For carbs I just rotate pasta/rice/potatoes/oats/beans/lentils
Lately Ive been having trouble falling asleep cause I have to pee very frequently when I lay down in bed. Might be prediabetes or uti or something else not sure probably need to have it checked.
