kill self

Buy a wall-mounted pull-up bar.

This.

Buy those pull up bars that you attach to the door frames

landlords don't allow these in many places

>caring more about your landlord than your gains
never
gonna
make
it

how can you tell if your door frame is good for these anyway?

>being light enough for that to work

Just do door pull ups like a retard

I've had an 86kg person with additional 30kgs on one like that and it worked fine. You just have to really open it up which might fuck the doorframe up a little

If you have stable enough chairs and a broomstick then do inverted rows, and dips between the chairs.

If you dont fall down with your door frame it's good enough.

Second this OP.

I have two chairs that I put on a stable/non slick surface and I use a snow shovel as the bar between them. I'm able to his like, 20 reps instead of 6, but as long as you get a burn.

Use really short rests as your overload progression.

see

how can I tell if the door frame is good without buying it first?

You cant
Take the chance you faggit

Who gives a fuck? Are people really this dumb, people actually obey that stupid shit on your lease?

Just put everything back the way it was. Fill the screw holes in and give the place a fresh coat of paint when you leave.

You'll get your deposit back. Take pictures.

Stand in between the door frame and push on both sides with your hands at maximal force.

How do you not have a door that can support that? It needs like 1/8th”

Unless it was some really shitty work you should be fine.

I've set these up outdoors with a platform and frame made out of nothing but 2x4s and nails.

I'm not crafty.

ties knots at the other end

an adult male weights at least 200kg

Uh... Wouldn't suggest this unless the door is solid wood or metal. I believe a hollow wooden or hollow metal door my break from the stress.

>400 mcdoubles in weight
>average

Pretty sure the average american weighs like 200 mcdoubles

Where the fuck are you getting that number?

thats only the Californian subspecies which is heavily mixed with the mexican pygmy's. The parent species certified americans are much larger

Yas Forums

you can try putting a book + several sheets of paper underneath the door for support
it's better than nothing, and you get forearm gains in the process

I'd still wager at most the average american is 250 mcdoubles

Probably some American obituaries

thats old data from the 70's. They have experienced a surge in growth rates since the invention of the drive through

door frame is 3/4th'' yeah I'm just gonna buy one assuming I can find one

how many mcdoubles (or foreign weight equivalent) do you think the average is?

I would say about 650 aussie burgers which, although the conversion is comlpex, comes out to about 389 american mcdoubles

my door frame doesn't stick out from the wall at all

What's that big open area on the side?

this is some prison shit

interesting though, might try it, need a sturdy door though cause all the weight is coming down the way

OH SAY CAN YOU SEEEE

in what kind of shithole do you live? bolivia?

singapore

I don't think most doorframes here are like that, I just got unlucky

how's circuit breaker treating you

Are you one of them orientals? You don't have that wuhan flu now do you?

Go to a park and use the monkey bars

Parks closed due to AIDs

I just ordered one of these, didn't even know they existed before.

CB is going fine, if they opened up the gyms I would be perfectly happy living like this. at the gym people were sanitising everything autistically so there was 0% chance of catching the virus there, they should just open up. anyway hope you're doing okay too

exercise areas in parks are closed and cordoned off

buy gymnastics rings for $25, hang them from a tree limb somewhere. or do pullups on said tree limb. tucked rows for horizontal pulling. pushups and handstands, sprints and pistol squats. burpees.

i only used the NUS gym twice before shit hit the fan
luckily i had the foresight to buy gymnastic rings from mustafa a few weeks back
quite happy doing calisthenics now

>mustafa
not the greatest choice of place to go during an epidemic, lmao straitstimes.com/singapore/mustafa-centre-believed-to-be-starting-point-for-hundreds-of-cases
but yeah I should have done that too, it seems that everything is sold out domestically now and I have to wait for shipments from overseas to buy any gym equipment

what website are you using to buy? are you gonna try and fit a home gym in your condo?

I literally just bought a pull-up bar from shopee, I'm not going to invest in more gym equipment... I will definitely regret this if CB lasts for more than 4-6 weeks, but let's see.
I live in a studio so not much space for a proper home gym anyway

My walls are non-concrete kind.

dreamdesigndiy.com/ceiling-mounted-pull-up-bar/
Just build that. Took me about an hour, no issues thus far.

What languages do people speak in Singapour? What's the language of the education?

language of instruction is English, but you learn your ethnic mother tongue at school too

I'm fully DYEL and I can see the frame coming away from the wall just by slightly pulling on it with my hand so I know my frames wont take it.

So along as yours arent that bad then just buy the fucking bar.

most locals speak english, but more people speak chinese/tamil/malay/dialect at home i think
the "national language" is malay but english is most spoken
majority of eduction is done in english

So people at the street usually speak in English? How prevalent is the Chinese language?
If you go to a library or cinema, most of the products are in English?

don’t need concrete walls. just buy a stud finder and locate where the studs are in the wall and mount the bar to the studs so it’s sturdy

yup
most ppl are chinese, they'll understand it
yup

don't visit, we're discount japan

Not interested in visiting or mingling with bugmen, just curious about the language situation.
How many languages do you speak and when do you use each of them?
