>Who is /fat/ for? For dough elementals who want to better themselves through meaningful hard-work, strategy, and dedication. This is not QTDDTOT, stick to questions on fat loss
>Now what do I do? Count calories, all of them. Calculate your TDEE at sedentary Buy scales, be accurate in your measurements Learn how to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables. Eat a lot of protein. 1g per lb of goal body weight. Do cardio. Even if its just walking, cardio will improve your health which is sorely needed. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can off set the risks. Lift weights. This will keep and gain muscle mass and burn fat much quicker. No lifting results in the body burning away muscle AND fat. You don't want this. Post your height/weight/screenshot of MFP/Cronometer food log when asking for advice
>DON'T Eat refined sugars, they're terrible for you regardless of calorie count Eat processed foods, or at least try to avoid if possible Drink your calories. Alcohol, soda, hot chocolate, fancy starbucks shit. forget it. Freak out over a stall in weight loss. Plateaus can last up to three weeks. "Reward" yourself. Be a retard.
every once in a while it's good to have a post body edition to see the progress of the other /fat/ bros, see your own progress and maybe even motivate someone that just joined us by showing them it can be done. Here's my journey from 144 kg to 78 kg
Is the snake diet rubbish? I lost motivation to lose weight after I became crippled going from 130kg to 80kg as a kid (an immune disorder developed and led to arthritis). I read about a fat guy that lived for a year of essentially nothing, and I was wondering if the snake diet covered everything, or if I had to add yeast and multivitamins like in the study of the guy who didnt eat for a year.
Parker Williams
Wow, that's impressive. Howd you get the motivation? Did something set you off, or did you just put your foot down?
Nathaniel Clark
just took literally the biggest shit of my life that wasnt laxative induced it was literally like a foot long i was really wondering where the three extra pounds came from i guess that answers that
I posted in the last thread, but it was about to die. This shit is totally doable. I think I'm only 15lbs away from where I want to be. 193 now; down from 250.
>Howd you get the motivation? My motivation the whole time was losing weight so I could start rock climbing which was something that was impossible without weightloss. >Did something set you off, or did you just put your foot down? The first step made in my weightloss journey was because of a really silly thing and the aspiration for rock climbing came after that. I was preparing to run a 3.0 D&D session and looked up the weight of ogres because the fight was supposed to be fought in an old crumbling tower with rotting wooden floors. I realized that I weighed like an average ogre. A fucking ogre
If you have this opinion and haven’t been exercising for 5-10 years you’re not gonna make it , just be consistent and patient
Daniel Reyes
Bump
I've been eating 1200 calories a day for a few weeks now and lost 20 lbs. Thing is, I very rarely feel hungry anymore. Even though I feel lightheaded and out of breath if I eat way too little I just have no apetite. Part of it is eating only healthy food (protein shakes, vegestables) and drinking like a gallon and a half of water a day.Today I've eaten 550 calories and I'm not hungry in the slightest. I should probably start exercising more to get my apetite back.
Dominic Scott
What’s the damage lads? >
Justin Parker
I'd say eating at maintenance and trying to lift harder for a bit would help more than cutting at this point
Jaxson Hill
Whats up my fat friends.
I was wondering if walking with a bunch of added weight (imagine 20kg backpack) would be an effective way of doing cardio? If yes, is it better than running?
There's plenty uf ugly, fat people with girlfriends and wives. However if u're not fit you'll have to leave the house and have to give dem hoes some reason to like you.
Hunter Bennett
Really? I want that six pack back though. I’m lifting nearly every day in quarantine and doing push-ups sit-ups etc. shouldn’t I cut until my stomach is flat?
It's not better than running probably but it's better than just walking, and for fat people it puts less stress on the joints.
David Roberts
Idk. I mean, if you can't lift right now, cut hard because you'll lose some muscle anyway. You're not far off, but I think you're going to be a bit smaller than you'd like by the time you get back to a six pack.
Charles Price
Now post the image where you gained 40lbs back.
Hunter Bennett
Damn I was gonna slack off for today but I'm going to get my daily workout done now, Thanks guys! very inspiring
not sure what you mean fuckface, i dont plan on gaining anything back. post body or shut the fuck up.
Henry Miller
DELETE THAT PHOTO NOW!
Samuel Lee
why user?
Caleb Stewart
I just got out of a very unhealthy relationship that I gained almost 100 lbs in so now that we broke up I'm getting fit to fuck some thots. I started my diet 2 weeks ago and I have dropped 18 lbs (wondering how much is water weight) going from 260 to 242. I started keto yesterday so let's see how fast this fat burns because I'm doing HIIT everyday and eating 1200 kcal a day or less. We're all in this together bros
Caleb Morales
very wholesome, user
Kevin Phillips
progress after losing 240+ lbs although before picture was after already losing about 60 lbs, don't wanna take a full pic of my body right now, currently deep in a water fast so it'd probably be disingenuous
i got no muscle and i got a lot of loose skin, i should be lifting weights god damnit
Homie you reversed your age, you look great in the recent pic! Keep going, we're all gonna make it
Justin Mitchell
You look like a total different person, very youthful too. Good work.
Julian Sanchez
Looking good, bro. Skin looks pretty tight even.
Grayson Garcia
Damn baby, that's some nice twink mode right there I like it ;)
Julian White
pls become a trap
Gabriel Adams
good job man i remember you posting a while ago, keep at it you're doing great.
thanks man, my ass and interior of my thighs are loose but it is what it is. i was a fat fuck so i expected as much after losing all that weight.
Carter Walker
>go to computer store recently to get parts for a client build >Case, liquid cooling kit, some fans >Maybe 50lbs total at worst (case is mostly tempered glass) >By the time I carry it all up to the counter to checkout, I'm fucking winded >Sweating >Sitting in my car after loading it all in listening to my heart trying to beat it's way out of my chest I'm such a fat piece of shit holy crap. I'm walking garbage.
Jonathan Green
start walking, garbage. You finally got your wake up call, now do something! You can do it user
Dylan Bell
Do I really need to run to do cardio? Not really a fat fuck, around 20% bf but I feel comfy just walking, while jogging I feel like dying during the last 1km. Maybe it's because there's a 1km segment in the middle that is only uphill and I keep pushing me to the top and beyond, and also pushing me to have only 2-3 breaks
I can't wait till a couple months from now when you say you gained like, 30-50 lbs back.
Jaxson Robinson
Biking is really nice for cardio, but you have to go uphill a lot.
Caleb Young
depends. If you only care about losing weight just keep walking. If you want to reach some sort of athleticism goal just keep doing it till it doesn't suck. Taking breaks while running is fine, just keep track of all of it so you can see if you are progressing and adjust accordingly. you can find other cardio stuff too. I like running but I absolutely love bike riding. If you hate yourself you can do burpees.
Lucas Morales
keep projecting onto me, fatbody, i'll wait for you to post body but i know you wont because you're a loser who cant put down his potato chips and soda.
You will fail. Once a fat, always a fat. With each meal you will think to yourself, 'Will this be the point?' Every time you stuff your fat fucking mouth, a voice will cry out trying to stop you, but you will continue to eat. Enjoy the road to fatness once again you inconsiderate fuck. Like I said, I cannot wait for your fatass to post here in a bit crying how you gained once again, like you have dont your whole life.
How worried are you about the coofs, /fat/? It's gotten me more motivated lately. Even if I don't catch this it's made me think long and hard about what a liability my body is.
Isaiah Brooks
>doesnt have the guts to post his body on an anonymous image board
pathetic dork, very punchable face though. notice how everyone else here is supportive of one another but you sit here seething and wishing other people to fail? shows your rotten nature. hope you lose more weight and fix your dogshit attitude.
My thighs and arms are getting slimmer but my lower belly still has a pudge. What do? Should i just have longer fasts? I just want to lose abdominal fat. 5'4, 55kg
>very punchable face What an absolutely reddit thing to say, cunt. But really, why should I waste my time with positive words? Most people here will fail. Not only once, but many times only to end up fat and sad but try to power through it telling themselves its alright they tried. It is useless. The fat fucks here live in an echo chamber of fake advice and niceties that is honestly worse than the people who are happy being fat. Look in the mirror, you are the fucking problem.
It will come back. Nothing lasts and your fat-brain will constantly bring you back to food.
Eli Gray
It's impossible to lose weight in a specific place. If you're losing weight, just keep doing what you're doing and the belly fat will follow eventually. Also, London.
Noah Cruz
Nice dude! You look great. I hope I look like that. I'm 268lbs now. My highest was 330 last year
Charles Ward
>been eating clean for a few weeks >going pretty well, but for the last couple days my mood has begun to plummet >sister brings me homemade cookies to cheer me up >eat them all in a sitting >massive dopamine rush, feel incredible Why the fuck does life have to be this way? I hardly feel guilty for fucking up.
Christopher Rogers
>It will come back. Nothing lasts and your fat-brain will constantly bring you back to food. Nah, fuck off mate, I'm never going back.
Like the other user said, you can't spot reduce. I'm 5'2ish, 108 lbs now, and I'm practically skeletal from the waist up, while still fat from the waist down. Mentally prepare yourself for that.
Parker Cox
>still doesnt post body
you haven't even lost 50lbs yet and you sit here and judge others who have achieved more than you, you're a fucking loser who deserves to be a fat pile of shit. you're still a fat fuck and you will continue to be a fat fuck because your attitude is dogshit. yes i would punch you in the face because you're a goober who needs to get fucked up.
spot reduction is not a thing but you can go balls deep in core exercises and start building core muscles. Toned core muscles could make your pudge look better
Christopher Wood
>this
Ayden Foster
The order in which fat goes away seems random / genetically determined. Just keep going and your body will switch over to burning belly fat soon enough.
Isaiah Brooks
Should I take breaks when I start to feel discomfort? Right now I am just pushing myself to keep on going even if it feels like I'm going to pass out.
Kevin Nguyen
God you're literally perfect Where do you live???
Nathaniel Brown
dont fast; eat at a deficit and stop having cheat meals and cheat days. what ever your TDEE is, eat 300-500kcal less than that, exercise, and be patient
William Myers
Looking good bro. Congrats on the turn around. This is one year progress for me. I'm 268 now.
