That man is as dumb as he is gigantic. Best wishes to him though. Eddie's going to have a personal crisis

I know who that is, but what's going on here?

He's attemping a world record deadlift

cool i guess

If you watched him at the Arnold this year, he could have got it then. He pulled up 465kg like it was a broomstick

>Eddie's going to have a personal crisis

Eddie uploaded a video recently, and he was unironically losing it on camera
>I don't trust the icelandics
>Stop bringing my name up!!
>I was the first one to do it, and it's been four years. Put up or shut up
>They aren't going to calibrate the weights properly
>I will be the first one to congratulate Thor, but he needs to do it on the world stage like I did.

>He pulled up 465kg like it was a broomstick

this. He did 440kg for 3 recently, with straps though no suit. Went up like butter

He's doing the DL under strongman rules (like Eddie) so he'll be using straps

Makes you really appreciate Magnusson's world record with just bare hands youtube.com/watch?v=5M13EBl_jF0

I don't understand how people that are literally on the top of the world could get so butthurt when someone denies their achievements or talk a bit of shit. Eddie and Thor really have frail egos, I can't put my head around it.

Attached: r8BWekC.jpg (720x1520, 418.66K)

The ego is what makes them so good tho, you see it across all sports people like Ronaldo, Serena Williams, Conor Mcgregor. Its the ridiculous self-belief/ego that makes them do the ridiculous things they do, and in turn behave like Eddie and Thor do when their ego is challenged

He brings up his world records and wsm win every chance he can and he has claimed the year he won wsm he was the strongest man to ever live. He's already turned into a boomer talking about his glory days

Thor isn't wrong here

wut about the humble dudes they become GOATS of the technical game right?
Messi, George St. Pierre, the klitschkos, Curry

to be fair, Eddie Hall destroyed a crossfit world record recently that won't be broken for another 5 years

Eddie is an incredible athlete I just wish he would compete again instead of bringing up things he did years ago over and over

he might not be but he shouldn't let the shitflinging affect him, there's literally only one guy on the planet talking shit while the rest eagerly waits for him to lift the bar

>Curry
>Humble
If he were taller, heavier, and darker, no one would call him humble.

Attached: 3817steph.jpg (1920x1080, 1.17M)

>bringing up things he did years ago over and over
This. It feels like there are a thousand videos on yt of him talking a out his wsm and 500dl. Yes it's impressive, but you don't need to put up a video about it every other day

Yeah Thor would come off so much better if he just dismissed the drama and broke it anyway. He has nothing to prove against Eddie, he's a far superior strongman and no one would deny that, even if Eddie keeps the WR

I remember when he won.

The cheap WSM committe had arranged the finals to be held in some backwater African shithole to cut costs as usual. After finishing the final event and securing his win, Eddie stood alone on a scrap of bare dirt in 110 degree heat, screaming and yelling in exultation, breathless, voice hoarse, red faced and slimy with sweat. The announcer was uncertain about how to handle this 400 pound, gleefully hysteric man until he'd calmed down some, and he stood away, detached, waiting to conduct the obligatory and scripted, typically uninteresting post win interview and collect his paycheck. The starving African spectators stood rather silently behind a flimsy barricade some ways off, with maybe a meek hum of congratulations wafting over to the mics for a few seconds, although I don't remember it much. None of his competitors, his family, his fans, rushed to his side, matching or even just validating his excitement. Nobody was there to celebrate with him. He yelled and shouted to nobody, euphoric to tears, almost babbling. And he was completely alone. It was like it didn't mean anything.

Eddie is one hard working son of a bitch. I was so impressed to see him rise from just some promising kid at the WSM, to breaking the deadlift wr, to pulling the 500. Like tons of people, I'd thought that that last feat was impossible when he'd earlier claimed he would do it. For awhile it seemed like Eddie was on top of the world, and I believed he really could do anything he said he could, that I'd completely misunderstood this man and his sheer determination.

He had aims of being a celebrity like Arnold or the Rock, and I had my doubts about whether his charisma and confidence was on that level, although it was hard to doubt Eddie at the time, after being so wrong about the 500. He said he was going to break the bench press wr, and likewise, I felt doubtful but had a hard time believing it.

>he's a far superior strongman and no one would deny that

this, though Eddie is a significantly better bench presser

Thor has recently seemed like his support team has been in some way helping him grow out of that kind of pettiness he's displayed at earlier points in his career, namely 2017 WSM. Maybe that tiny little model gf of his is a good woman in the heart after all

Lol did he really say he was going to break the bench record? Swear Larry Wheels even benches more than him

I thought eddie was just trying to go for 700?

currently he can do 580 lb for 6

barbend.com/strongman-eddie-hall-bench-presses-584-pounds-6-reps/
He's actually probably slightly better. This gives him a 1rm of 678, Larry's best is 675 however Eddie's are closer to comp standard too

I don't know anything about football, Serina seems like a basic bitch, and Connor doesn't have a frail ego in the slightest. He's just always looking for a verbal fight or a chance to yell at someone.

>compete again
The drugs would kill him. His organs are done. His hollywood career isn't taking off like he needs it to, and at this point he feels like that's all he's got to build on. Eddie should have moved on after 1 year, and focused on his youtube game. This is what he gets for chasing television because Arnold did it, instead of building his own shit online. Although, granted, he's done that well enough, I'd say. But he needs to be focused on that. When your body's had enough drugs, the days of competition attention and promotion are done

Eddie should have been the next Rich Piana, but his head wasn't in the right place. I'm still really impressed by how well he's been doing on youtube. When he first started he was pretty awkward in that spotlight, Id say

That's what it was after that collosol fatass Afam in the US pressed the new wr, 734 or whatever it was

>Serina seems like a basic bitch
Illuminati tranny, actually. Not that it really matters but hell

Attached: 1455978807200.jpg (996x625, 177.61K)

i hate him and hope he fails so based bloatking eddie can keep looking down upon him

Attached: 1821893198213.jpg (640x461, 65.53K)

Still an unbeaten feat imo

It's really surprising to see how specialized strength sports are. I'm sure that the overhead pressing stuff that strongmen do translates well to bench but even then they can barely bench 600. There are quite a few college kids that can put up that kind of weight and they do it for fun.
I do like that eddies got Brian into benching. I'd rather see strongmen at least occasionally post a video of them benching rather than another video of them scrutinizing what angle they should place their feet when squating.

Eddie was looking pretty fit late last year, but all of a sudden it seemed like he got diabetes out of nowhere. He's not looking to healthy. Idk shit about shit but he doesn't look right. Palumboism. Thor's body looks fucked up too, actually. Don't see him without a shirt on much anymore. These drugs don't make you pretty

youtube.com/watch?v=OGkMYgAT1qw

Overhead pressing doesn't not have a strong carryover to Bench for most people

>Eddie should have been the next Rich Piana
That would be pretty cool. There isn't (to my knowledge) a jewtube strongman that focuses on training advice. RP was successful thanks to his BBing advice made interesting due to his personality. Eddie has the personality but he seems to think that trying shitty gymnastics gimmicks is what people want to see.

>he thinks that this is sustainable
of course. it was only a matter of time. there is a good reason why he retired so early

Attached: 1921849121923.jpg (472x343, 33.04K)

>but he seems to think that trying shitty gymnastics gimmicks is what people want to see.
It's what I want to see.

I don't see why not. It's all triceps and front delts

Well fuck you

I think he's relying too much on his professional yt management team. Yt just isn't natural to him. Brian's doing something similar, but he seems to have a better knack for engaging his audience. In Eddie's videos, you, as the viewer, don't often feel involved in the illusory friendship, despite his otherwise more charismatic personality compared to Brian; you feel like Eddie is having fun with whoever is actually there with him, and you're just watching. Eddie needs to stop talking to his cameraman, and start talking to his audience. Brian keeps his 'public engagement' really professional, impersonal, but even in that way he's doing it better than Eddie.

You've gotta admit that it's a lot funnier than just seeing big guys lift barbells over and over again.

I hope he smashes it with ease. Eddies approval-seeking is really quite frustrating.

Post a link nigger

Some of that's fine but it's not >sustainable. In the end, YOU need to be the content, not exclusively gimmick after gimmick. Think about Rich. Just an endless stream of content. Him driving in the car was content, was entertaining. God made that man for yt RIP. I miss his absurd, hilarious self

How bad has it gotten? I've been out of the loop for awhile. WSM have been pretty boring since Big Z and then Eddie left. Brian and Thor haven't been at their best lately either

>even then they can barely bench 600

guys like Thor and Brian Shaw are 6'9 and 6'8, so they have larger ROM

Bench translates more to OHP than vice versa

don't forget though, Bill Kazmaier, the strongest man of his time, also held the raw bench record with over 660 pounds

this
i feel like eddie has become just another stupid vlogger. i get the shtick "big man does tiny things" but its boring and sad to see a man who has achieved such great things being degraded to doing gymnastics or calisthenics with some literal whos. the least he could do is making videos in which he gives tips e.g. for beginners or something

Eddie is such a whiny fucking bitch

Attached: Screenshot_20200408-201330.jpg (1080x2160, 634.89K)

It's really pathetic

Attached: Screenshot_20200407-115606.jpg (1080x2160, 873.07K)

Eddie posted a recent Q&A where someone asked him how he felt about Thor and the 501 kg deadlift. He was absolutely fuming
Eddie is more popular on Brian's channel than he is on his own channel

Because
1. they're different movements; exercises are movements not muscles
2. the main mover of the bench is not used

Bench isn't in any strongman events though (although I think it should be)

>Thor tried to cheat in 2017

Eddie beat Thor by one measly point
It's a good thing "most" of the events were in Eddie's favor. He would've died of a heart attack by the 2018 WSM from his impending potential divorce (his wife was going to leave him if he didn't stop competing) and all the liquid fat he was consuming

>Brian and Thor haven't been at their best lately either
Brian is old as fuck and Thor just dominated Arnolds

>the least he could do is making videos in which he gives tips e.g. for beginners or something
That'd be a great way to engage a large portion of his audience, take on a teaching role. Tons of people would be interested in learning from Eddie

He could also go the Rich Piana route and start talking about the drugs. That'd really be a smart move, and would get him tons of content/attention/etc

Mcgregor absolutely does, look at the excuses he makes after he loses any fight

just google incline dumbbell world record faggot

>peaked
Lol he might as well say "their cycle"

Bench doesn't fit with the strongman philosophy.

Yeah hes in a weird spot where he doesnt want to go too small because he'll feel insecure about his strength but hes not competing so doesnt get too big either, just looks like shit to be honest. Him and Thor in the elevator was some of the most brutal mogging I've ever seen

Such a pathetic false equivalence lol, comparing strongman to the olympics
