Currently 2 hours away from my old 5-day record, I'm still aiming for 7 days if possible. Not sure how to go from there though.

Currently on day 3 of my first extended fast in four years. I wasn’t able to find magnesium sulphate for my snake juice. Should I keep drinking snake juice with everything else, or avoid long fasts?

Magnesium wasn't in the first recipes, you could supplement it later if you wish, but it's not necessary if you don't go too long.

I’ve read conflicting opinions about drinking tea during extended fasts (mostly from here), that mostly come down to caffeine. How do you feel about decaf green tea during fasts?

I personally enjoy drinking tea in addition to snake juice, the snake juice alone makes me insane.
It's up to you, really. You could check your blood glucose and ketone strips if you think they could break your fast.

yeah I've done over a week before in the past but never 30. I was going to switch off to snake juice and magnesium supplements at the end of the first week. I figured I will just take it a day at a time and see how it goes. so far so good.

Can I get abs by May? June? I’m gonna start running 2-3 miles a day and doing 5XMax Pushups 5X25 sit-ups too. Maybe curl some books in a plastic baggy.

I've done like 9 days before. I don't think it changes much as it goes on. For a bit I did a few week long fasts and ate once a week for a social occasion. I just want to knock the rest of it out. This time I'm not going to drink vodka during the fast.

I used to lift and was around that actually. It has been a long time. I want to take all of the weight off first because I don't like having a gut and this really won't take all that long. I'm doing a shoulder circuit with some free weights and some mild lifting at home but I don't own much. I've got a rowing machine and I need to work on my cardio more.

Guys I'm fat as fuck and am doing 24s then 48s for weight loss but I'm also poorer than a church mouse

With that being said what are some cheap foods I should refeed on? I was thinking eggs (since I can buy them super cheap in bulk), almonds and oranges? Will that hit my macros and make my fasts more easier? Thanks for your advice in advance.

Depends on lots of things. But if you're not going for very long, like 30 days, you'll probably be fine.

Could be. Not a bad idea to give it a shot, just make sure to monitor your blood glucose throughout your fast.

Fuck guys, i was going for at least a 15 day water fast and I had my snake juice ready. Anywho i get to day 4 and i'm feeling good but I'm worried I'm not getting enough vitamins and minerals so I decide to take my normal supplements that I take for lifting. Zinc, Multi, Vitamin D, and a Vitamin B complex. I took each of those four vitamins each once a day and holy fuck did it make me feel like shit. It made me feel like I had the worst hangover ever but without a headache. Just hot all over and nauseous. I ended up breaking my fast just before I got to day 5. I broke it by eating some celery and peanut butter and a simple egg white omelet amounting to 600kcal because i couldn't take it anymore. So i tried to figure out what made me feel so terrible and it was the Vitamin B. I now have to restart my fast (don't think i'm out of ketosis yet thankfully) but this is just a warning to other fasters to not take Vitamin B while fasting. Anyone else have any advice on what not to do or take?

Pretty much any supplement like that, the snake juice should be enough.

It doesn't have to be that way. You're not eating(fasting) because you've had enough. What helps me is that I'm telling myself I'm losing weight not that I'm refraining from anything. When I get a hunger pangs I'd just tell myself now I'm losing weight even quicker cause my body wants calories but it has the cals it needs on my belly. Fasting is so easy if you dont "on hour 4 of 96 help me bros" and just dont eat.

And no, I didn't start to freak out until I took the supplements. Not eating wasn't the hard part. The hard part was thinking I had done something wrong and might cause damage or death to myself because of taking supplements. I had trouble sleeping because my resting metabolic rate went up drastically so I took my supplements before bed along with benedryl. It was not a good combo. I'm restarting now. It's my first time and I'm glad I made it almost 5 days and I learned something. Now going for 14.

Maintenance bro checking in. Just finished off a 72. Did hill and stair sprints the first day, and steady state half hour jogs the others. Got down to as low of a weight that'd I'd want ever want to be at and now I'm eating like a fat fucking slut until I have enough excess body fat to do another 72. This is the good life

Heres my shit boys. I wanna get to 160lbs I started at 248lbs. I got 3 months of lockdown and im on day 5 of a dry fast so im already down to 235. My routine is this, 7days dry one day refeed with a piece of salmon and snake juice/piss depending on how insane i wanna get. Then when im under 200lbs ill start water fasting for 7 days while refeeding once a week. Then when im 180lbs ill do OMAD sound good? Good. By the time lockdowns over my gf will come back ill no longer be overweight

You aren't supposed to fast for days at a time. Your hunger after that kind of fasting will be so extreme that you will regain all of your weight. I'm not a doctor but my doctor told me to fast every other day at most.

On day 5. Feel fine. Dry fasting is easy. You only regain the weight if you’re an idiot and eat too much. You have obviously never fasted long term the hunger goes away and its almost like you dont want to eat.

did a 90h fast earlier this week, felt fine but got a really salty mouth near the end of the it. Was drink around 3-4L of snake juice a day and running 5.5km up mountains. Lost 8kg in a week.

you're wrong and here's why: you start by doing IF, getting used to not eating all the time. Then maybe you do a 24 or 48 fast. See how you feel after. How hungry you are and how much you eat. Then you try your hand at a 3 or 4 day, now you know what it is like to come off a fast and want to eat, so you have much better impulse control and have a few smaller meals and don't pig out.
