It seems that Final Fantasy VII Remake is not performing so well

The usual TORtanic shit. but also when shitposters decide that a game will fail or flop they'll refuse to listen to any actual facts or sales numbers and just keep making the same thread over and over.

the ending. literally if it weren't for the ending it would be praised as one of the best games of the past few years. The day after it came out everyone was in love with it but then everyone got to the end.

This is a fairly interesting review but I really do think it's just the ending

OH NO NO NO NO IT'S NOT THE MOST SUCCESSFUL GAME OF ALL TIME EVEN THOUGH IT CAME OUT DURING A QUARANTINE THAT MEANS ITS A FLOP, KILL ME NOW.

BARRY WAS RIGHT! BARRY WAS RIGHT!

Sometimes you can find actual criticisms in threads like that, but a lot of the time it's something to the tune of 'OH NO NO NO NO NO', etc, etc. It's just kind of frustrating to see any actual discussion, praise, or criticism buried under screaming shitflingers.

Gonna come out and say that I liked the ending somewhat. I would have adored a 1:1 remake of the story, but I can understand the feel to do something new. It's more of a soft sequel than anything else, and I'm perfectly all right with that. I get why a lot of people might not be, but I've wanted something like that ever since I finished 7 the first time. A way to potentially save Aerith mostly. Shit hurt my heart.

keep saying it

i hate the remake, but these sales numbers arent proving your point. 3.69m is still a massive success. I dont know what your point is here. go away retard.

well people have already played the original

I'm pretty mixed on the ending but you're definitely in the minority here.

>had a dream about Aerith holding that metal steel chair (that foldable one) approaching sephiroth in an WWE arena with Seph's POV seeing her face going full dere (what's the dere that is violent?) whacking him with Seph raising an arm for her to stop. oh yeah and vincent was there too.

Yeah, I figured lol. Still enjoying it regardless, but I completely see why people have mixed or negative feelings towards it. It definitely wasn't advertised as a 'soft sequel', so I figure that feeling of being lied to also factors in to people's disappointment/frustration. For a lot of people, this is also going to be their first 7 experience, which is going to leave some people confused when they look up the original's story. It could have been handled far more gracefully.
