Because there have been less physical sales due to quarantine
David Bell
Hmm. Maybe because it would have to do something with a certain global pandemic. Could just be me.
Adrian Stewart
You mean it sold less than two games that sold extremely well?
William Smith
FFVIIR The Fastest-Selling PS4 Exclusive, (LMAO)
Xavier Rogers
It's the 9th best selling PS4 game already... I don't know how you can call that bad.
Ayden White
Why is /v seething so much over this game? Gameplay wise it's all right, the music is fantastic, and the story changes, while controversial (for good reason) aren't some godawful ruiner of fun forever. Why hate things just because they're popular?
Yeah, Dunkey doesn't like it. He's not really a big RPG person in the first place, though, and he's the first to say as much. His opinions and reviews are done through his subjective viewpoint and shouldn't be taken as an absolute truth. For example, a lot of reviewers love other JRPGs like Octopath Traveler and P5, but he doesn't because he dislikes RPGs in general and JRPGs in particular. It's not as though he's the holy word on what's good or bad.
Jose Watson
The usual TORtanic shit. but also when shitposters decide that a game will fail or flop they'll refuse to listen to any actual facts or sales numbers and just keep making the same thread over and over.
Jordan Gray
the ending. literally if it weren't for the ending it would be praised as one of the best games of the past few years. The day after it came out everyone was in love with it but then everyone got to the end.
This is a fairly interesting review but I really do think it's just the ending
Ayden Peterson
OH NO NO NO NO IT'S NOT THE MOST SUCCESSFUL GAME OF ALL TIME EVEN THOUGH IT CAME OUT DURING A QUARANTINE THAT MEANS ITS A FLOP, KILL ME NOW.
Sometimes you can find actual criticisms in threads like that, but a lot of the time it's something to the tune of 'OH NO NO NO NO NO', etc, etc. It's just kind of frustrating to see any actual discussion, praise, or criticism buried under screaming shitflingers.
Gonna come out and say that I liked the ending somewhat. I would have adored a 1:1 remake of the story, but I can understand the feel to do something new. It's more of a soft sequel than anything else, and I'm perfectly all right with that. I get why a lot of people might not be, but I've wanted something like that ever since I finished 7 the first time. A way to potentially save Aerith mostly. Shit hurt my heart.
James Hill
keep saying it
Charles Howard
i hate the remake, but these sales numbers arent proving your point. 3.69m is still a massive success. I dont know what your point is here. go away retard.
Easton Young
well people have already played the original
Eli Stewart
I'm pretty mixed on the ending but you're definitely in the minority here.
Nathan Rivera
>had a dream about Aerith holding that metal steel chair (that foldable one) approaching sephiroth in an WWE arena with Seph's POV seeing her face going full dere (what's the dere that is violent?) whacking him with Seph raising an arm for her to stop. oh yeah and vincent was there too.
Dylan Rivera
Yeah, I figured lol. Still enjoying it regardless, but I completely see why people have mixed or negative feelings towards it. It definitely wasn't advertised as a 'soft sequel', so I figure that feeling of being lied to also factors in to people's disappointment/frustration. For a lot of people, this is also going to be their first 7 experience, which is going to leave some people confused when they look up the original's story. It could have been handled far more gracefully.
It barely sold on the XBOX ONE also, it sold barely 1m units LIFETIME on Xbone.
Zachary Sullivan
The real reason behind it is that people are just mad at the episodic stuff. So they hyperbole everything they dont like just out of pure rage.
Christian Anderson
Wow, the Remake is really a FLOP
Luis Rodriguez
Yeah, "The" remake flopped hard. Didn't even get released. This sequel is doing stellar though despite the Pandemic.
Jackson Cook
Holy shit, it's doing so well despite being sold out early and having logistics issues due to Corona. Just you wait until the supply line is reastablished...
>There is no emotion, the dialog is cringy >Everyone mentions the flower garden scenes >Every other reviewer praises the character moments and dialog, even having gripes with the plot
Dunkey has no taste, the guy thinks Uncharted and Dad of War is the pinnacle of storytelling.
Adrian Richardson
Did he? I just assumed, I haven't seen him do a video about it.
Kevin Lee
Good maybe they'll just release one more game and have the series done
Brayden Martin
>Dunkey doesn't like a Jrpg Holy Shit, stop the fucking press
Aiden Harris
Isn't it only part of the game, like it's episodic? I think a lot of people are waiting for it all to be released to buy it.
