Because I realized I don't actually like video games as video games.
Why didn't you follow your dreams and become a video game developer Yas Forums?
Even without the context of shitty work environment and abuse this is demeaning. Anyone else feels the same?
the company is dog themed, what's so hard to understand
not dog themed
SEXUALLY dog themed
what's with the obsession with Americans
>kennelled (and they fucking spelled it wrong too)
>doghouse
What the actual fuck is with this weird furry shit vibe?
I dev shit and write engines on my own, video game development for a company?
That's about the dumbest shit you can do. You do not want to work in that industry, not only do they pay you less for about the same amount of work you'd do in a non-vidya software position at another company but they overwork you and they do not respect your work-life balance. If you want to make something on the larger side you should do it with friends and people you know. With strangers its not gonna work so well and more likely than not you'll be working on some mobile games or working on some shit you don't want to work on, learning absolutely nothing, and always fearing losing your job because of the high turnovers. You're easily replaced by naive college grads.
I repeat, do it with friends, do it alone, join a friend, but do not work for a corporation, besides literally every game studio started off as just friends.
Nothing about that is sexual user.
>kenneled
>5 years in the doghouse
I get it, but come on now.
i dont have any dreams
