Bravely Default and Octopath Traveler would be a lot better with more fun or active dungeons, but they really are lazy. Bravely Second had some visually pretty ones though.

More complexity
Is this image trying to imply that this kind of dungeon design is somehow new when it comes to RPG dungeons?
Because that doesn't really make sense but maybe the one who made it is just stupid? Or is it perhaps just criticizing the games for using "dated" design?
One could argue it's simply tried and tested though. What's it getting at? Is it retarded or just a shitpost? Both maybe?
thats his whole point. you just wanted an excuse to post this picture
someone post EO maps.
I’m playing Octopath now, really stinks that the only real secrets are hidden by the visuals of the environment, which has led me to just hugging a wall in every dungeon before I head down a sudden path.
Look at these cool dungeons you'll just use Invisible, Sneak, and Deodorize to rush though.
Random encounters ruin dungeons
I WONDER WHY A LITERAL FIRST PERSON DUNGEON CRAWLER HAS MORE COMPLEX DUNGEONS THAN A COOKIE CUTTER JRPG WITH A TWIST
Jesus these dungeons were the worst I ever played all the fucking chest were filled with shit like potions and the only good items were the ones you steal from bosses or you bought from the online part
