Emulators are not piracy

A lot of games they sell run on an emulator as well, like dosbox.
So what gives?

They are though retard.

>literally has emulator in the description
>not an emulator
Only if they include BIOS and ROMs/ISOs. A clean room implementation of a console that hasn't been sold in a retail environment for decades is perfectly legal.

What if i'm using an emulator to develop a game for the platform and basically only running my own code.

I'm pirating my own game?

Yep, it's a frontend, it's like calling your monitor a piracy machine.

oh shit no one tell sega they're breaking steam content rules

wow gee I wonder why Valve has a blanket statement on emulating to protect their ass from copyright

obviously people don't just use emulators to play copyrighted games but the vast majority do

>Do not post porn, inappropriate content or anything else NSFW
Oh they must have forgotten about that one, judging from half the titles the VR section has. Let alone all the shit clicker and image slide puzzle shovelware on the regular store.

have you seen the state of the emulation community recently? shits like a gag reel of mental illness and hipster-welfare begging

everybody knows that most people use emulators for piracy and Valve just don't want to flood their forums with "how to download x for my PS2 emulator?" and "any good websites where I can download zelda roms"?
