nah, The Dark Mod is just a Doom 3 mod, and it shows, the AI and the sound system clearly aren't good for a stealth game.
Also Thief 2 suffers from a really flat placing, you won't even remember half of the levels after your first playthrough due to how samey they are.

I haven't played Thief 2 yet but I'm pretty sure Thief Gold is better for the simple reason it has spooky zombie/haunt tomb levels which I heard Thief 2 done away with
