The DLC is typical DLC. It's more of the base game mechanics in familiar scenarios. You won't be missing out on a whole lot, unless you really feel like playing lightly adapted parts of the original movie and a short new scenario that's not as compelling as the main game.
The base game can probably get you 15 hours first time through. Maybe 20 if you need to look at everything and are slow about progressing.

It's literally just a sneak/stealth simulator. Seriously, its extremely boring. Every wrong step is just an instakill and you restart from checkpoints. You'll get a flamethrower, and you think you'll get some combat, but lolno, its just to scare the alien back into hiding if you fuck up. You just stare at your wrist sensor and run when the coast is clear, enjoy the constant backtracking too.
