You kind of just preaching to the choir bud. Fallout was a setting that should ether have been giving painstaking detail and care or left alone after one game and we see that neither approach was followed

>Every single song has to be about nuclear bombs
Why did Bethesda do this shit, they're all mediocre. Why couldn't they pick actually good songs of the era, ffs they aint aint that a kick in the head and big iron in new vegas

its better with sex mods

>Why couldn't they pick actually good songs of the era
They should have just not had constant references to the 50s. Fallout 2 is pretty explicit in how America is moving on from its pre-war culture and developing a new one, albeit with influences from the old world.

Songs about nuclear bombs could have worked if it had only been like one. Uranium fever was a genuinely good pick and seems like something that would come into popularity during a period of shortages

bethesda simply doesn't give a flying shit about the series. its sad that they seem to have some faint revelry for nearly anything else but fallout gets more and more mutilated with game, and even in shitty DLC content. they added fucking chinese power armor in the last Fo76 update.

Reminder that pic related is an actual line of dialogue in an actual game made by actual human beings.

to be fair you're a retarded, sheltered vault-dweller and theres more retarded shit in the game and even that exact town. who builds a fucking ENTIRE town around a undetonated nuclear bomb

>to be fair you're a retarded, sheltered vault-dweller
My character has a 10 INT and 8 CHA.

I genuinely cringed when I was playing 4 and Piper told me about her amazing adventures in the past like it was some fucking disney movie

Dion - Wanderer has nothing to do with nuclear bombs, and is a great song.

The best part is with some basic text blurb saying it’s captured armor and having it look a little beaten up and miss matched it would have been mostly fine

Are you ignoring the fact that you had raiders dressed up as literal Greaser's in Fallout 2 and used 50's slang?

Smart people can still lack common sense. The most dangerous thing in the vault would be the tunnel snakes and security if you pissed them off

power armor is fucking everywhere in 4. It feels less like a powerful weapon that most only know about from legends to a daily sighting

To be fair, the Chinese would make cheap knock-offs of American tech. They do that now.

Hell, it was a plot point in Crysis.

I'm not a very high IQ person, and when I'm looking for my dad, I wouldn't ask 'have you seen a generic person?"
I would ask something like "Have you seen a man who is wearing a very bright blue and yellow jumpsuit and has facial features similar to mine?"
Something like that, not Bethesda's retardation.

You encounter power armored guards in fallout 2 pretty early if I recall.

The Skeeter Davis song was great though. If I heard it on the soundtrack of New Vegas I would've been fine with it.

its mostly that its also a plot point in fallout that the chinks couldn't into power armor so they made the stealth suits

It’s the fact chinese power armor is just a thing now and it looks exactly the same as American power armor like despite the fact it is know that China fights differently to the US their version is exactly what the US came up with. That’s not how weapons development works.

Rocket 69, Personality, End of The World, Wanderer, Orange Colored Sky, Pistol packing mama. There is more than just songs about nukes, come on man, and this is coming from someone who dislikes Fallout 4

No, you don't, unless you make a beeline straight for the Navarro as soon as you leave Arroyo.

The Chinese & Americans constantly ripping one another off has been a stable for a while. The stealth suit in OWB was made with reverse engineered Chinese stealth armor if I recall correctly.

Megaton is a trading town. If a new face that isn't smeared with shit and dirt comes up to you in a lab coat you will remember him.

You're getting your first encounter with the Enclave as soon as you walk a bit south starting from the Den.

Yeah but most of them are still either references to, the end of the world, war, nukes, or Boston with some love songs slathered in. You could argue that that’s what people would be thinking about given the time, but just look at other periods of war most song that are popular then are either love songs, songs about how tomorrow will be better, or protest music. Just look at world war 2 any songs about the war are about how your respective side is winning not what happens if you lose.

>OG Fallout fans are no fun allowed faggots
Woah who knew. All the first things you listed are fucking gay, all the second things you listed are pretty based. /thread

No, the chinks ravaged the US with stealth suits until the first powerarmor was used in Anchorage.

Fuck off Todd

Okay?
We're talking about how commonplace powerarmor is in Fallout.
Just because you encounter Enclave troopers early in Fallout 2, that doesn't mean that power armor is common. It takes a very long time until you actually get a suit of armor, and when you walk around the major settlements while wearing it, people will actively comment on how otherworldly and rare it is.

New Vegas is the only truly great game in the series. Fallout 1 and 2 being exemplary roleplaying games is an enormous meme propagated by people who desperately need to believe that they have superior taste in videogames.

Modern-Fallout has always just been Bethesda's attempt at entering the gritty brown-n-bloom shooter fad of the 00's, except now with RPG elements. And just happened to use the name of an old IP for an easy boost. There really is no use trying to pay any further mind to it when they can't even properly keep their Elder Srcolls baby consistent.

Starfield's gameplay reveal is going to be one hell of an awkward presentation in the era of 5th-generation consoles, assuming that's what they're aiming for.

Fallout 4 still has an atmospheric soundtrack outside of the radio.

Far Harbor DLC is literally peak Fallout. Fallout 1 fags are still in denial LMAO

I mean, the world has already ended in nuclear hellfire, the songs are just gallows humor at this point. Im pretty sure the radioguy in 4 even mentions it when he is about to play either Uranium Fever or Uranium rock, cant remember which one

I vividly recall Brotherhood and Enclave being pretty dominant and well known in the Fallout universe. There's also the fact that in Fallout 1, the game takes place in 2161, while in Fallout 4, the game takes place in 2287. That's a difference of more than 100 years, and even later than Fallout 2, which means power armor is likely not as rare and mysterious as it was previously, as Enclave and BOS begin expanding operations.

It's definitely Peak Bethesda-allows-an-actual-human-being-to-write-the-scenario

>faction being well known in the universe means that their advanced technology is commonly available to everyone

You are retarded. Play the fucking games before commenting.

The only time I ever encountered Power Armor early was the BoS guy in the second town and a random event where Frankie murders some farmers.

Wrong. BoS was completely underground in FO2, Enclave was also clandestine.

However the guy that said earlier there are mob gangster cosplayers in New Reno in FO2 is sadly correct. It's kind of throwaway but it's definitely bethesda-style flanderization before bethesda ever had the license.
