You really like making these NV threads, huh? I guess there's no discussing it on the cesspool known as /fog/, what with them only wanting to play FO4 and FO76.
I haven't played Fallout 3 in a while, and I don't want to fuck with my load order and bother with getting a myriad of compatibility patches for all the mods I have to play TTW, but I'm sure I'd still enjoy it for what it is; a romp in a pretty cool wasteland, just don't take the dumb story as seriously as it wants you to take it. The part of the story I hate the most is the game expecting me to believe that after 200 years the only signs of civilization that has risen up is a bunch of shitty shanty towns dotted around everywhere. Even the societies in Fallout 1 had more things going for them only 70 years after the Great War, INCLUDING having so much clean water (the thing you spend the entire main quest in Fallout 3 trying to obtain for the Wasteland) that an entire merchant group was able to make a monopoly on it, and had enough of it to spare to keep an entire Vault supplied with fresh water for, what was it, one hundred more days?
