If you use mods you better be ready to pay for them

Why shouldn't the devs get a cut of the money you make creating assets using tools they provided for a game they created?

What exactly did you work on that didn't use a framework already created for you off the backs of hundreds of other, more skilled developers and tens of millions of dollars?

Wouldn't it be illegal for a mod creator to directly charge for their mods?

Could result in litigation, and they'll lose

Paid mods would be fine if we were paying the creators directly
Not micropayments like fucking creation club
This isnt very good either, this dude getting the money for mods instead of the actual creators

As long as you own the assets used or use assets that have a license that allows them to be used in paid projects it's legally fine.

it's worse in this case as the website is literally just a list of mods for skyrim with tags so their easy to find.

Wait so this guy isn't even making anything in the first place and then charging for access to other peoples content?

Hello lawsuit.
Even if what he's making is a time saver or something like that that's just not on.

Yeah but you can ask for donations for access to your blog that hosts your mods. Same way your not paying escorts for sex but you have sex with them.

no they'll just remove their mods altogether because they're literal children
