Just about the only thing I will admit Skyrim did better for combat is enemy a.i. Morrowind a.i. is very stupid and bland.

The mod gave access to a topless texture that actually was within the game itself at initial release. The texture was never actually viewable in normal gameplay though.

Daggerfall has less spells&weapons. Although it did have a cloak slot for armor which was pretty neat. And more stats.

The problem isn't the dice in itself, it's that it's very poorly done because Bethesda decided to make up a system for Morrowind instead of just buying a license to use D&D like every other RPG at the time. It gets especially ridiculous when you remember that TES is just a D&D homebrew campaign turned into a video game.

Skyrim doesn't do anything better than Morrowind/Oblivion apart from combat, texture quality and mods. I can't even say the graphics are better overall because the game looks incredibly drab.
