Boku no Hero Academia it's the definition of style over substance. Barely any character development in dozen of episodes, no consequences, no competent or interesting villains, passive protagonist who is given his powers, most of the cast is useless or comic relief yet the mangaka can't bring himself to kill one of Deku's friends because their merch is too profitable. The main reason people other than kids like the show is because of the sexy girls for coomers and cute boys for fujoshis. In like 90 episodes it has done less than Dragon Ball or even Naruto in half that time.

Second season was developing nicely. 3rd was obviously when shit got TOO popular and toned down the stakes, the violence, the themes and the characters went into humor fodder only. the cast is likeable but it's shoehorned into FUNNIES only, but even if it was just everyday stuff which, could work considering they're endearing, it's just all about all around boring now.
And then no consequences about anything ever. Argument is off and weak. The super society wouldn't/couldn't/shouldn't work like it does in Hero Academia.
Midoriya was depicted as a cute fuckboy until shit got real and was willing to go berserk if he needed to in first and second season. Now he's just a passive fuckboy.
