RE dialogue is great because it's actually badly written by someone who doesn't fully understand English and portrayed by a poorly directed actor. RE4 is really artificial. Like Birdemic 2.

I was trying to think about this and here's what I came up with:

-Generally over-produced to hide lack of complexity in gameplay; Art with a capital A is prioritized but kept as commercially digestible as possible. Think Christopher Nolan, but video games.

-"Clever" dialogue.

-Heavily Advertised and Widely Known

-Every once in a while the game will pause and tell you that capitalism is evil and you should read Marx.
