True. RE1 HD is really the gold standard of remakes, because it's the only one that's actually an unarguable improvement over the original, by virtue of being the same exact game but all of its flaws removed and all of its upsides amplified. Far too many remakes try to divorce themselves from the original game, even though they owe their very existence to people's nostalgia for it.
This is HOW you do a proper REMAKE!
It worked out since the new plant enemy is way more impactful than the plants in the original which were an absolute joke.
Hunters are the only non-zombie enemy in classic RE that are actually memorable from a gameplay perspective, the rest are either laughably easy or just annoying.
I honestly don't like any of the changes REmake made to the original.
Legitimately, not one. Not the gameplay, not the visuals, not the music, not the story.
Good thing the HD rerelease added a modern control scheme option. Fixed cameras are better for atmosphere.
cry harder
Wait you can play the game without the fixed camera?
No he means the controls, there's an alternate control scheme.
>games meant to appeal to the masses rather than the thinking man sells more
You keep digging your own grave with each post
Ah, thought it would be weird if I managed to play through it twice and never noticed you could do that.
>implying RE4 and RE5 were remotely "scary" when you learn how to play with the tank controls
>actual gameplay doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is speedrunning the game, completing puzzles and managing a shit inventory system
This is how retarded zoomer Resident Evil "fans" think.
