This is HOW you do a proper REMAKE!

Why doesn´t more companies copy this process when making remakes.
Remakes nowdays always include cut content or fanfic reimaginings of the story.

nobody wants fixed camera's or tank controls. Deal with it

Remakes more often than not are not made by many of the same folks who made the original. Remake 1 was the exception to this rule being that it was made quite soon after the release of the original at least in comparison to other remakes.

>Tsuyoshi Kanda: One thing that sticks in my mind, really, is that… when I think back to my memories of Resident Evil 2, the plant monster that appears was really memorable for me. So there I was, I was thinking ‘oh, how are we going to handle this one…’ but then one day I looked at the planning documents of how we were rethinking the story and it was no longer in it.

>I was kind of like… “what’s happening here?!” [laughs] I talked to the team and they said well, it’s really hard to make a plant monster in a more realistic atmosphere. We just thought we’d skip it. I told them I needed us to make it work, and that led to a back-and-forth on how to do it for about a year – them saying it couldn’t be done and me as producer saying I wanted it in there. As for how it turned out in the end… we’ll leave it for you to see later! But that’s one of the things I really remember butting heads with the team on for quite a while.

>it’s really hard to make a plant monster in a more realistic atmosphere.

yea it's just one internet image search away. too hard.

RE 5,6 are the highest selling

what is that?

>why don't more companies make terrible graphics whore remakes of subpar games
they are, tho. this is what people keep asking for.

I don't mind that enemy, but the excuse for pussing out of a real plant monster is weak. also did the plant turn the person into the zombie? or where they a zombie that got planted? or is the plant and the virus working together inside the zombie? and gameplay wise it's just a regenerator ripoff.

i don't know.

Definitely but thats also why im glad remake 2 and 3 aren't like REmake. I havent touched og RE in probably 10 years because REmake is so superior. Im kinda glad the remakes of 2 and 3 were just reimaginings of the og games. So now i can still enjoy both versions of the games for different reasons.

ok lamo it's a "octopus stinkhorn" hehheheh

I dealt with the fact that the majority of gamers are retards with no skill or appreciation for style long ago. Thanks for the encouragement, though.

They're "vegefied" scientists so yeah. I wouldn't have minded if they were a new enemy along with the man-eating plants and not a replacement.

They should have had the head split into 3 parts, and have it look like it was being replaced gradually by the plant. problem solved. maybe a poison spit too, would have been a pretty ruthless endgame enemy

While also being the worst in the series. It's no coincidence that when Capcom started making games for low IQ retarded zoomers that the sales would skyrocket.

>RE6 improves on RE4 and RE5 in every way
>worst in the series
>the series being Resident Evil
you're not better than underage braindead retards. Infact, I would wager you are one.

Remake being ported outside the GCN in 2015 is the reason 2R and 3R even happened

>RE6 improves on RE4 and RE5 in every way
>any remaining horror elements from RE4 and RE5 are now gone
>improved
lol you can't make this shit up, fucking christ I hate zoomers

>6
>improving on anything
much combat mechanics don’t mean shit when everything else is terrible

True. RE1 HD is really the gold standard of remakes, because it's the only one that's actually an unarguable improvement over the original, by virtue of being the same exact game but all of its flaws removed and all of its upsides amplified. Far too many remakes try to divorce themselves from the original game, even though they owe their very existence to people's nostalgia for it.

It worked out since the new plant enemy is way more impactful than the plants in the original which were an absolute joke.
Hunters are the only non-zombie enemy in classic RE that are actually memorable from a gameplay perspective, the rest are either laughably easy or just annoying.

I honestly don't like any of the changes REmake made to the original.
Legitimately, not one. Not the gameplay, not the visuals, not the music, not the story.

Good thing the HD rerelease added a modern control scheme option. Fixed cameras are better for atmosphere.

cry harder

Wait you can play the game without the fixed camera?

No he means the controls, there's an alternate control scheme.

>games meant to appeal to the masses rather than the thinking man sells more
You keep digging your own grave with each post

Ah, thought it would be weird if I managed to play through it twice and never noticed you could do that.

>implying RE4 and RE5 were remotely "scary" when you learn how to play with the tank controls
>actual gameplay doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is speedrunning the game, completing puzzles and managing a shit inventory system
This is how retarded zoomer Resident Evil "fans" think.

>a shit inventory
Why are you even in this thread?
Oh, Yas Forums, shitposting, autism, right right.

Yes, because the widely held consensus that Resident Evil has a shit and broken inventory system is suddenly wrong because one zoomer who can't make an argument to save his life with nostalgia glasses really likes the game for inexplicable reasons.

Sure REmake is more faithful to its original
But RE2make is just a better game in almost every way
>writing
>voice acting
>cutscenes
>production value
>camera and controls
>making everything seamlessly connected with no door opening loading screens
RE2make is overall the better game despite missing some content from its original

>implying that wasn't always the case for every RE game.
next thing you gonna say that RE was scary and the "puzzles" were "smart" and "hard".
