Is it even worth buying Nintendo Switch?

I'm mainly getting Nintendo Switch to grab Ultimate and just eviscerate my friends who keep believing they're hot shit as well as play some exclusives (also Desmond Amofah). But is it really worth spending that kind of money on it in 2020 though?

No

$300 is not actually a lot of money, unless you're a poorfag, NEET or underage. That being said, if you're actually interested in the exclusives, then go for it, but don't buy a system for just one or two games.

Above $300? Absolutely not.
Compile a list of Switch titles you think are worth a shit to you.
If you can't even reach 10 games, don't bother.

If you like the other nintendo exclusives(Odyssey, fire emblem ETC) then yes, and if not then no. Non nintendo games run from a little to a lot better on other platforms so if you're not interested in the exclusives it's not worth it.

Right now? No. You're going to have to wait for Nintendo to start producing them again.

It's a pretty good system. A shame the joycons are shit and it has paid online but I don't play Nintendo games online anyway. I wouldn't pay the insane scalper prices you'd have to right now though. Just wait until production gets back to normal.

I just got a hand me down switch. What are some if the best 3rd party or AA games? I'm working through banner saga 3 right now but will need more titles soon and can't get excited about the big names like animal crossing or pokemon.

Astral Chain and XC2 are good

Alien isolation
Breath of the Wild
Animal Crossing
Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Mario Odyssey
Mario kart 8 deluxe
Dragon Quest XI Echoes of an Elusive Age
Witcher 3
Luigi's Mansion 3
Octopath Traveler
Smash Bros Ultimate
Link's Awakening
Fire Emblem Three Houses
Collection of Mana
Stardew Valley
Skyrim
Dragon's Dogma
Astral Chain
Ni no Kuni
Megaman Zero Collection
Minecraft
Diablo 3
Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil remake
Rune factory 4
Ring Fit Adventure
Mario Maker 2
Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate
Daemon X Machina

pick any

>ask for AA or 3rd party
>suggest Zelda, Fire Emblem, Mario
Cmon dude. I can Google "best switch games" and get the AAA titles everyone is talking about.

It'll be worth it just for Trials of Mana. That and you can't play Astral Chain, FETH, Odyssey, XBC2, Animal Crossing, Pokemon SS, or ZLA on PC.

Well what did you expect when you asked a switch owner for recommendations? Nintendofags are peak consoomer who gobble up every new AAA release. You should already know this.

t-there arent many worthwhile titles besides those

This. Unless you can find it for way cheap. Found a PSTV for 30 burger bucks to solely play P4G.

>trials of mana
are you a masochist?

Play Valkyria Chronicles 1 and 4, they're seriously underrated. Also available on PC if you'd prefer, but they're really nice for portable play.

I mean,
Celeste.
Into the Breach.
Return of the Obra Dunn.
Goose Game.

I know they're out there I just don't know all of them

I liked Astral Chain

these are not AA games

That's probably fair. Let me restate. What are some hidden gems on Switch?

Fast RMX

we dont live in an era of hidden gems anymore, games are expensive to make and rarely go unnoticed like in the past

Retard

HARD NO.

It is NOT built well (my left joycon wiggles when docked to the system. I had to add a piece of tape to make it fit again).
Even the e-shop LAGS.

>your anecdotal experience applies to everyone
???

This Guy gets it, you should OLNY Buy a console when the number of games already out that you're gonna buy for the Systems exceeds what you pay for the hardware itself.

$300 is like what, the after-tax income of a single shift at work? its really cheap.

It's mainly good for exclusives or if there's a game you REALLY want to play on the go.

>Eshop lagging

The problem is absolutely your single Switch unit. You need to use warranty to change for one that's not faulty.

where the fuck did you find one
nobody has anything but lites here in west burgerland
and im not paying a scalper

I bought a switch lite for a family member for animal crossing, but I've been thinking of a fullsize one for myself since I hardly like to sit my ass down at my PC or infront of my TV anymore. I just laze around in bed after I get back from work tired as fuck. I think I might just wait to see how this rumored new model is going to be though.

reports that costco in store is restocking them as a bundle. 350 for the red/blue, 128 sd card, and 1 year family online. I've not been back to costco in a bit, but I got the lite from costco like two weeks ago as a bundle too, but it was a shitty case and screen protector instead.

Mario odyssey
Smash Bros
Astral Chain
Legend of Zelda botw
Animal Crossing
Dragon Quest
Splatoon 2
and soon No More Heroes at least for me it's worth the price

I'm going to sell mine, such a boring console imo wish I kept my ps4.
