New threat just makes the turnbased combat too difficult for casual players. Does it even change the dialogue at all? dialogue still looks overly simplistic and nonsensical at times.
How to play FF7
I dunno that's just what I've read.
I literally can not follow the crappy translation.
like how barret gets on the train and there's only one shinra worker there.
In Japanese he's remarking how the trains so quiet and empty and then he asks the shinra worker where is everyone.
In the translation he just keeps sayin "huh whad' ya say?" "hey huH what'd ya say? it got all empty did ya hear me?" It just makes him sound insane and you can't tell what the fuck he's talking about.
>fucks the games sound engine
Last I checked the pc version's sound engine was fucked from the start and reunion attempts to fix it. Also reunion should be compatible with remako backgrounds assuming they are pngs. Reunion supports asset replacement.
>which adds a bunch of shit noone wants
All the extra shit can be turned off and actually is turned off by default. Only the translation/menu fixes, and the 60fps combat fix are on by default. I do agree the model enhancement thing is fucking ugly and doesn't mesh with the animations meant for chibis at all. Thank god you can leave it off.
The 60fps combat mod is too buggy to bother with.
>animations play twice as fast so damage indicators take forever to pop up
>characters run into the enemy because the distance moved doesn't align with the animation that plays
>reunion attempts to fix it
it makes the sound effects grating, treble-overloded and ear wretching. also causes contestant audio stutter, clipping and cuttoffs.
Just use fucking Reunion and don't use the features you don't want
>totally fucks the games sound engine
Works on my machine :^)
Why the hell would you want "high" definition chibi models.
it limits the game to a trash resolution, no anti-aliasing and there's no documentation on on how to get other mods working.
You can turn it off if you want. Also I have experienced none of that with the current reunion release (r06d) at least with normal low framerate animations. Haven't tried interpolation yet. As far as I know all it does is make the menu/camera 60fps. Animations are unaffected unless you choose.
I've not had this happen so really I don't know what you're talking about. The only bug I've run into was a crash upon entering nibelheim which was caused by the translation for some reason. Apparently it is fixed in r06e but they haven't released it yet so I just switched it off for that section.
