A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushedgameis forever bad

>A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushedgameis forever bad.

Bannerlord ought to never have been released. It is such a disappointment coming from Warband. It should have ended up in the pile of unfinished development projects that showed potential.

Even with the additional tactics features, Bannerlord is more cheese than strategy at this point.

Why does this single fight seem literally more interesting than all the battles? The following year was a 5 minute gameplay demo. What happened that year in 2016?

Just take a look at what's missing from 2016:
>engaging dialogue
>cut music (cutting music wastes money)
>you can sit down in a tavern and the person next to you will start talking
>background during interactions
>smithing is an actual place and you get to interact with the blacksmith
>can chop up your animals for food
>can challenge the lord to a duel
>defeating lords doesn't mean you win all his armour, it could advance your place in the kingdom or hinder it
>trade wars
>even the dev admits they used individual AI making for more interesting one on one fights modern-day Bannerlord operates on group AI
>All of this was meant to come out in 2017
>???

What the fuck?
While I admit that the UI is enhanced they spent too much time (and therefore money) focusing on graphical development and UI/UX design. Mount and Blade never needed good graphics. It was all about IMMERSION!

What's more, in modern day Bannerlord:
>all troops look the same
>combat AI is the same as Warband if not worse
>Sound FX is reused from Warband
>Voice acting/direction is cringe and you can barely hear it or encounter it for that matter
>Morality system is busted/doesn't work

This is why you need official play testers, Yas Forums otherwise your game will never be good. Early Access is the mark of indie shit. Mount and Blade plays exactly like Civ V, it's cartoony, childish. It's better to let some things die than to watch it live.

>Turks are lazy.
No shit.
The only reason anyone is really hyped for Bannerlord is the modding community eventually taking over and making a good game out of the barebones they're given.

I think its pretty great, already clocked in 50h

They gave a heads up that this won't make it into EA because they've got enough shit to do and adding this content right of the bat would make it a lot harder to get the game to a functioning state. With how the game started out, and how it's been progressing, I think it's fair to say that they were being honest. Why would they have official playtesters when they can release it in EA and have people playtest for free? Also fyi every mount and blade was early access. Also you're a fag

I'm loving this game and i'm doing a waifu empire right now, sorry

I strongly suspect that
Uh did you even watch the 30-minute demo of 2016? There is completely different game direction. Immersion is non-existent, everything is more or less Warband but with shiny graphics and a custom engine™. They even cut art because they were constantly revising the UI. Why wouldn't you have play testers? They are there to make sure your game doesn't suck.

Everything looked fine until 2018 that's when they decided to cut content. They have had several years to work on this. A year is a long ass time for game development and the content is barely here. Makes you wonder what the development costs went towards.
Cool you do that while I'm enjoying Warband, the better game. Glad you're having fun I guess?

Who cares. Game will be good. Me dont care. Stupid fagt user.

You sound insufferable.

talewords: guys don't expect early access to be the complete and advertised experience we cut a lot of things out so it will actually run and introduce them with balance as time goes on
op: REEE IM A RETARD WHERE IS CONTENT TORTANIC TORTANIC

Aw did I hurt your precious fee-fees? :(
Also TaleWorlds: By the way we are introducing Mount and Blade mobile edition. We expect Early Access to last about a year, and expect to add XML edits every 2-3 weeks or so. Don't worry functional sieges will be ready by the time we are done with EA. By then we should be just about done and ready to make our DLC!

Either I buy it now
Or I buy it in 2 years when it's out of early access

either way I'm buying it son

>>can chop up your animals for food
you can do that currently.

parrot continues to parrot.

I will drink from your skull!

You're full of shit user. Bannerlord is a far cry from perfect but it's still better in every regard than Warband. Although if you've never played M&B game before I''d recommend you wait for Warbannerlord.
t. 80 hours in and counting

Honestly vannila warband is at the same level bannerlord is at, quality improvements like everyone playing by the same rules, the improved economy that warband straight up does not offer and the better battles and sieges too, fuck even modded warband struggles with larger unit numbers.
The majority of complaints about bannerlord not having things warband has seem to be superficial details like camping, feasts and normal followers. At this minor level you might as well wait til the mod tools are out and add them in yourself.

Now you sound like a schizo.

Go complain in the forum. No TW devs would read it here.

Why none of the bannerlord haters seem to actually play the damn game? If I were to point some flaws I'd complain about absolutely retarded leveling system you win the game before you unlock any meaningful perks, gaining levels takes way too long, stupid fast battles you lose like 20-50 TIMES more soldiers if you let the game resolve for you, especially sieges, no passive exp gain for your units, no automatic trade meaning you have to sell literal hundreds of shirts and straight swords every time you are in the city.

Also it could use some quality of life changes like option to chceck family relations of lords, filter kingdoms by fiefs, and lords actually surrendering. Also building siege engines is a downright waste of your soldiers

It was such a mess a modder even shuddered at the thought of fixing all of the present bugs.

He's right, though.

>building siege engines is a downright waste
Not true, if you have a large enough army you can build a trebuchet before they can build 4 catapults and you instantly destroy everything and everyone, and then you just crash into them because their walls are broken.

What do you think Rhagaea smells like?

How big of an army are we talking about here? 1000 people? Because anything less doesn't do it.

Probably old. Also they changed her face in the update, she's not hot anymore

Well seems to come from the fact that the trustworthiness on the devs delivery is skeptical.

Why do you have such strong faith in the devs user? They don't have that much money and definitely can't deliver everything they have promised. Plus the average early access game lasts for about a year, I don't think bannerlord is going to stay in development for more than one year at most. Right now it seems like they are trying to experiment with the campaign AI. I understand they had to make a map and balance the mechanics but that is what play testing is for.

600 to 800 people can build trebuchets pretty quickly.
Also rhagaea is even hotter less retarded im pretty sure.

Nah. It was an apprehensive, discounted early access release after a harrowing development cycle, and it is STILL being worked on actively. FOTW zoomies will hopefully forget about this game soon.

You have to grind tactics by auto-battling a ton before your units are safe in any situation where the enemy has archers

Im pretty certain the devs will deliver.
>why do you have that much faith in the devs
The daily updates have been pretty good i guess.
>they dont have much money
They must be absolutely rolling in it honestly.
The only real concern is the lack of testing before the launch, the internal testers couldnt catch an unavoidable bug for one, and the game launched in an incredibly unbalanced state, i honestly have no idea how the devs didnt notice the snowballing, the fact that half of the weapons and armours were disabled, the skills or even woodcoin when it should be more than obvious if you would just play the fucking game.
Aside from that they have been doing fairly well with the patches, all the issues ive listed have been fixed and the game in general has been improved and more content has been added.
Only time will tell i guess. I cant imagine anything other than their own retardation stopping them from fulfilling their promises.

They should have shield wall as a default order

>be you
>seething
>be me
>have fun

How does that make sense? At least historically, a battle between two shield walls usually boiled down to numbers and discipline. Requires drilling/training.

pretty much sums it up

Wait a sec. Are you telling me Yas Forums doesn't like a great game? Yas Forums??

lol retard

>building siege engines is a downright waste
Build one, place into storage. Repeat until you have 4 trebuchets built. Place all 4 at once, even fully built ballistas will get wiped. Destroy walls while building siege towers and battering rams.
>get gud faggot

Because archers are extremely deadly but hugely mitigated by the shield wall order, and they don’t teach you how to do or what it does. Really they should just let you set up default commands to start every battle with that you can customize to your taste, I.e I could set up infantry shield wall and cavalry follow me

>Fighting for Vlandia
>Whenever I recieve a fief, a 600+ army locks onto it to besiege

This seems kinda bullshit desu, has happened like four times and I just get my ass beaten every time, I have a regular-sized army of 90 dudes and I can't defend against such sieges.

That's like two weeks ingame, user. It's sometimes easier to NOT build any engines and just use ladders

Also this game isn’t a history simulator so I’m not sure why drilling requirements matter

Cringe.
Game is fun.

OP is just a tortanigger, pay him no mind

>chceck family relations of lords, filter kingdoms by fiefs
These two are already in. Use the encyclopedia.
