>A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushedgameis forever bad.
Bannerlord ought to never have been released. It is such a disappointment coming from Warband. It should have ended up in the pile of unfinished development projects that showed potential.
Even with the additional tactics features, Bannerlord is more cheese than strategy at this point.
youtu.be/czfPYoJ7PTY (about 7 minutes in) Why does this single fight seem literally more interesting than all the battles? The following year was a 5 minute gameplay demo. What happened that year in 2016?
Just take a look at what's missing from 2016: >engaging dialogue >cut music (cutting music wastes money) >you can sit down in a tavern and the person next to you will start talking >background during interactions >smithing is an actual place and you get to interact with the blacksmith >can chop up your animals for food >can challenge the lord to a duel >defeating lords doesn't mean you win all his armour, it could advance your place in the kingdom or hinder it >trade wars >even the dev admits they used individual AI making for more interesting one on one fights modern-day Bannerlord operates on group AI >All of this was meant to come out in 2017 >???
What the fuck? While I admit that the UI is enhanced they spent too much time (and therefore money) focusing on graphical development and UI/UX design. Mount and Blade never needed good graphics. It was all about IMMERSION!
What's more, in modern day Bannerlord: >all troops look the same >combat AI is the same as Warband if not worse >Sound FX is reused from Warband >Voice acting/direction is cringe and you can barely hear it or encounter it for that matter >Morality system is busted/doesn't work
This is why you need official play testers, Yas Forums otherwise your game will never be good. Early Access is the mark of indie shit. Mount and Blade plays exactly like Civ V, it's cartoony, childish. It's better to let some things die than to watch it live.
>Turks are lazy. No shit. The only reason anyone is really hyped for Bannerlord is the modding community eventually taking over and making a good game out of the barebones they're given.

I think its pretty great, already clocked in 50h

They gave a heads up that this won't make it into EA because they've got enough shit to do and adding this content right of the bat would make it a lot harder to get the game to a functioning state. With how the game started out, and how it's been progressing, I think it's fair to say that they were being honest. Why would they have official playtesters when they can release it in EA and have people playtest for free? Also fyi every mount and blade was early access. Also you're a fag

I'm loving this game and i'm doing a waifu empire right now, sorry

I strongly suspect that Uh did you even watch the 30-minute demo of 2016? There is completely different game direction. Immersion is non-existent, everything is more or less Warband but with shiny graphics and a custom engineā¢. They even cut art because they were constantly revising the UI. Why wouldn't you have play testers? They are there to make sure your game doesn't suck.
Everything looked fine until 2018 that's when they decided to cut content. They have had several years to work on this. A year is a long ass time for game development and the content is barely here. Makes you wonder what the development costs went towards. Cool you do that while I'm enjoying Warband, the better game. Glad you're having fun I guess?

Who cares. Game will be good. Me dont care. Stupid fagt user.

talewords: guys don't expect early access to be the complete and advertised experience we cut a lot of things out so it will actually run and introduce them with balance as time goes on op: REEE IM A RETARD WHERE IS CONTENT TORTANIC TORTANIC
Mason Torres
Aw did I hurt your precious fee-fees? :( Also TaleWorlds: By the way we are introducing Mount and Blade mobile edition. We expect Early Access to last about a year, and expect to add XML edits every 2-3 weeks or so. Don't worry functional sieges will be ready by the time we are done with EA. By then we should be just about done and ready to make our DLC!
