Honestly, who would win? Not in the long run but on just 1 planet wide scale

Nids are just more powerful. Zerg, in my opinion, are cooler (except for Kerrigan wankery).

Visually, Nids are just a different approach to designing an alien bug species (which itself predates GW by a long, long shot). All Nids are Taur-like with 6 appendages, you can see it on any model clearly - some use them for locomotion, for some they are vestigal - Zonathropes levitate using their massive psychic powers, but they still have six little babby arms.

Zerg, on other hand, are truly diverse. Instead of evolving as a single species, they incorporated different DNA, effectively different species into the Hive. Lings look nothing like Hydras who look nothing like Ultras etc. They have building which are alive. They, like Nids, have spaceships which are alive. Hydralisk is one of the coolest aliens ever designed.

Also, I understand why Nids use living guns, like physically hold them, you need customization for your Warhammer game, but it looks tacky when you take real world problems out of consideration.

I do like that they strip the planets whole, though.

It depends really, but the Hive Mind make plans on a much larger scale. Sometimes it may allow defeat in one planet to win a system elsewhere

On the same planetary scale we're talking about in OP, it could probably go either way. But at large scale the Flood starts to fuck with reality in even way Tyranids can't.

Unless they scramble their DNA fast and on an individual scale, no. The only 'prevention' shown in Halo is Johnson after he used a ton of plasma grenades and it fried his DNA, and it's noted later on that the chances of developing a 'vaccine' from him would still be nearly impossible,
Also worth noting that this was with a pre-Gravemind Flood, and they ramp up EXTREMELY quickly when one forms.

What the fuck did I just read

>ultralisk
>20 meters long, 5 meters tall
>hive titan
>comparable in size to an imperial titan
>average of about 35 meters in height
>being anywhere near comparable
>creeps being useful with the psychic null field from nids
>nydus being comparable to hive towers which are taller than skyscrapers used to telephone in massive numbers and resources

Hive titan being the heirophant

Just look at this shit, it's a skull-scythe-slug. I miss when Blizzard did gritty art. Disney art is fin for some games, but not for gritty Aliens-inspired future war games.

I miss Metzen's art. It was gritty and sort of sloppy with just the right amount of edge.
