Specters were such a fucking let down. All the build up with them being the most elite of the elite of every species in the fucking galaxy and besides you and saren, not a single one ever features prominently in the story.

Maybe they should have been like SOLDIER in FF7, all supersoldiers who have been genetically altered and bathed in Element Zero to harness Biotic powers.
Just give Sephiroth a giant sword and mummy issues for Soviergen and it's the same game.
