Sequels do get more leeway, yes because at least it's an advancement and not a retelling. But no, people often complain about sequels messing up entire franchises so it's not really argument. We're not discussing sequels, we're discussing remakes.
>semantics bruh what are you talking about lmao
True but that does not invalidate people's complaints and rating the remake with poor scores. That's the entire point.
Lincoln Wood
Nor do I think your rebuttal is about my original point. The quality of the remakes is debatable. But the fact that the original is there, is not for the ones I listed.
OP is complaining about something that is only brought up when his shitposting is that obvious.
Juan Lopez
If you know this shit is true then stop being a baby. Do you not know that you're proving everyone else right or are you really autistic that you think that you're making a counterpoint simply by just replying to everyone and trying to get the last word in?
Ayden Foster
You've missed the entire point of OPs post then. You assumed a strawman and are arguing against it.
Brody Clark
>if you know this to be true then stop being a baby What? Did you not read the rest of the statement? You fucking idiot?
Camden Carter
a thread died for this Tumblr bastardization of a meme
Ethan Thomas
OP's point is obvious. Some people are just that easily figured out.
Noah Miller
This is mostly true for games where the original is literally perfect, easily accessible and has a modding scene that keeps it alive i.e.: >Doom 1 or 2 >Literally any Elder Scrolls game >STALKER >X-Com >Half-Life If it's an incomplete game with a shit engine, shit modding scene and was expected to be improved with a sequel/remake then it's much harder to come back to the original and be 100% satisfied, especially if you can't even run it on modern hardware.
