Why do you need to evolve a formula that worked.
Outbreak, a spin-off title exclusive to the PS2 that functioned mainly via online play, something Europeans didn't have, sold more than RE0 on the GCN. The reason 0, REmake and 4 bombed on the GCN was because the GCN was a baby's toy and they weren't buying RE.
Had Capcom not listened to Mikami's crying about Sony, the series would've done far better and Mikami's hissyfit that is 4 wouldn't have ever happened.
