Once you reach The End, an Enderman gravity mob grinder is probably the easiest one to make. You just need to get an Ender Mite into a minecart with a hole underneath it to cause fall damage. I know what you said in the OP but having stacks of them is lots of fun and you'll get tons in a matter of seconds

Anyways I've been thinking about where I'm going to build my base for 1.16
You have the crimson forest with piglins for bartering but hoglins are so fucking strong with twice the health as a player and spawning in packs.
Warped forest is full of fucking endermen.
The soul sand valley is full of ghasts and needs the new enchantment that kills your boots.
I could just build in the old nether but that beats the point and it also has fucking ghasts in it that could blow up my base build.

that end farm is also easy to adjust as an xp farm with a piston floor connected to a lever, it's also the highest xp yield/second possible

Play modded, and you'd have 1000s of options for farming pearls. Vanilla is for losercucks who think mods are "DURR TOO COMPLICATED I DONT WANT TO LEARN SOMETHING NEW"

No. Those are exploration extra adventureshit mods. You need REAL mods, ones that add teech or magic systems like EnderIO / draconic evolution, or just play an FTB modpack. EnderIO specifically leets you make mob spawners of any type. Just take the modpack pill

Yeah I found that mod future-mc pretty quickly but it's kind of janky and unfinished. I don't need chisel enough to go back to 1.12 survival anyways.

make a 3x3 platform 2 blocks in the air and go under it
look at all the nearby endermen
use a sword, especially with sweeping edge and sharpness
get 20 pearls in 10 minutes

In the new snapshot, you can find a nether biome where Endermen spawn like there's no tomorrow. Just find a spot within sight of them and make yourself comfy.

warped forest in nether upcoming 1.16 will have a really high spawn rate.

>explore and find the structure they spawn in or an open area
>build nice pathways to get between that area and your main base
>build a small base there and torch/slab/blow up surroundings
>build a spawning platform, way to funnel that kind of mob using slimestone, mob specific mechanics, or pathfinding tricks
>kill mobs using fall damage / lava blades / cactus / magma blocks depending on their vulnerabilities
>hopper or minecart hopper + unloading station to collect items
>possibly modify it to leave mobs at 1 heart for xp farm
>use more hoppers to sort items
>wrap all this redstone in a nice looking building
>end up with thousands of items per hour if you do it right, and an awesome build in a new area
modded:
>check JEI for recipe for custom mob spawner
>oh shit i need a crushed meta-sphere
>craft meta-sphere
>craft a new crusher because the one you have doesnt work with meta-spheres

>place it above some diamond mob spikes

It fucking defeats the purpose to use a bugged deadend release. It's a damn shame the devs which are supported by a billion dollar company can't add anything even remotely interesting to the game, something modders have easily managed to implement. Mojang is milking the same fucking game since 2011 and the game is still practically the same progression wise and the updates have no real impact on the way you play other than in very superficial ways.

What said. Any food that an be farmed, really. You can also dig yourself into a hole in a wall and wait until they spawn, if you make it so you can fit in it but the Enderman can't (heightwise) they can't get you and you can just hit them until they die. This works better with a looting sword, too.

Mojang is garbage, you have my agreement there, but I think we rag on the devs a little too much. Remember they arent mojang anymore, they are Microsoft Mojang, and have a team of investors and megaretards breathing down their necks with every addition they make to the game. Its why we get gay shit like pandas and foxes instead of krakens, nether demons, new structures and gameplay mechanics etc. Mojang is still hugely incompetent, with their spaghetti code still being far worse than what a single modder (optifine guy) could do in a matter of weeks. Seriously, why don't they just hire the optifine guy? He's been making the game run 10x better for almost a decade now. The oldest version I found of optifine was beta 1.4 which was 9 fucking years ago.

Vanilla food pantry, simple corn, agricraft (not a fan personally but it definitely is a quality mod) Cooking for blockheads is also nice for making food.

I could tell you 15 different modders they should have hired a looong time ago. Remember when they literally consulted Drzhark about implementing horses into their own game?

I'm calling it right now. They will milk the game as it is until Hytale comes out, only after that Microsoft will push them towards making meaningful updates to Minecraft or even a potential Minecraft 2. It's all a fucking business, they just now showed that they CAN actually add something literally infinitely better than anything they want to add but they will not because they have a strict guideline from possibly higher ups to not do so.

I await the modding API and the golden age of minecraft. Mods have only gotten better and better over the years, I cannot wait to see what the code toads can do when they get a real foundation for their work.

Modding API or not, the code for the game is garbage and they haven't completely guaranteed flawless modding capabilities, just that they will make modding *somewhat* easier for fans.

No it wont improve the code, but at least mods wont break/require total rewrites between "big" updates. The amount of mods we lost in the 1.7.10-1.12.2 era was insane

Reminder we were promised a modding api back when Notch was the only guy working on the game and even now 10 years later we still don't have it and we don't know when they will eventually release it. It's all so tiresome.
