Dorf Fort
Find me a game with more vegetation than KCD, protip: you really can't, like, it's entirely impossible
The whole environment actually feels "real", that's one of the things I like most about KCD.
not him, but the issue is that it takes maybe 20 hours at best to get the best gear, max out some skills and attributes and even less time to have done any action available any having fought any type of enemy
however, the game still continues on and on after all of that and the story is neither especially interesting nor does the story stick to the premise of the game and the game isn't exactly realistic either
and then you are stuck there watching another way too long cutscene with some huge faggot, that you could easily kill, yet you still take orders to go some place that you have already been and yet are forced to kill the same respawned enemies there again...
the ludonarrative dissonance in this game is just way too much
one of those few cases where I really regret putting like 20 hours into it just to realize it was golden turd
Why do all the vegetation shadows look like shit, I cant stand it in 4k. I played KCD on my 980 and run mid-high settings and dint notice now I'm maxed with 4K and it looks like ass
Isn't Dwarf Fortress more of a simulation than a game?
The Hunter.
Fuck you.
>10% the budget of most AAA games
no, the budget was 36.5 million dollars
It's a mix of regular shadow maps, screen-space ambient occlusion, screen-space shadows and voxel global illumination (the one that darkens everything and renders at 1/4th of the resolution, resulting in giant dark pixels in interiors)
>tfw nobody is going to put this much effort into graphics ever again
