Yeah but the Luminoth invented the screw attack and gave it to the chozo. Because in MP2 Samus's suit didnt recognize the upgrade until she picked it up. Inferring that the Luminoth version is the OG one.
Well Samus did get her suit by beating the chozo god of war in Zero Mission. It was literally gifted to her by a god.

I don't think it was given to her, rather it was just re-installed, or she re-acquired the "password" or the "right of use". You can tell this because it retains all the upgrades and stuff she had on her at the time.

It does? I don't recall it looking much different, although I played it long ago. If you mean the gravity suit that was an expansion already on her ass, and it still had functions as a key.

As I understood it the unknown artifacts were simply old and bugged out, and re-insalling hiegliph un-corrupted the data. I always figured "The Legendary Power Suit" was just a glorfied title for the power suit as a whole. Given that the second volume of the manga dealth with Samus's mental fortitude I figured that she lost her connection with the power suit and she had to go again through the trials necessary to acquire rights from it.
Either ways it doesn't contradict anything. If it really is a second suit then the first one must have been SA0, and the Legendary one must be SA1.
