I imagine it's because people just expect them to all be added back with updates. Same with any missing villagers or other shit.

I mean, there is a shitload to do already, and it´s not something that you can notice right away, plus, many items are customizable and the fact that they made "public works" from 3DS now regular furniture is the fucking tits, now I don´t rely on a single vilalger MAAAAYBE saying "You know what? I want a fucking giant spinning cube" to be able to build it and wait a day. Not to mention terraforming, moving villagers and buildings around, choosing where new villagers will live so that they do not fuck up your garden and so on...

It’s not finished, and if the furniture, buildings, and NPCs that it’s missing don’t get added in updates I think that overall it’ll be a weaker game than New Leaf. I really like what’s here but the game was clearly rushed out like almost every other Switch game. It’s fucking baffling that the game’s gimmick is letting your town be fully customized and yet it’s got less furniture to decorate with than the first game in the series.

Yes, but I heard the guy in question was hitting a rock for 15 minutes straight until it broke, so, by the point it breaks, you can easily craft another.

Hopefully all of those will be fixed with patches, SPECIALLY the fucking crafting in bulk and straight from the storage, but I assure you Golden Tools will not be fixed, maaaybe if enough people complain they will release diamond tools or some shit like that in the future.

Although I love the game and I believe it is the best animal crossing there are some minor flaws like:
>having to watch the crafting scene over again and having to craft a flimsy tool to make the nice one every time gets annoying
>the removal of some characters (like redd) is annoying. But I believe they will add him and others, however it makes the game feel a little unfinished.
>nook miles become more difficult to get as you complete more missions. However more expensive nook mile items appear as you progress.
>you have 8/9 tools (because some people carry both types of axe) and they are constantly taking up pocket space
These are just a few of the nit-picky things I think are pesky at most, but they really don’t take away from how great the game is

I guess AC just isn't the game for me. It feels too aimless. I just watched the movie and it makes me long for an actual adventure or relationship. I think this is where Harvest Moon excels, because you can actually build up your relationship, with the eventual goal to marry someone. Every NPC is unique, there's festivals and events where they gather, and they have actual thoughts about each other that isn't just [insert random villager name here]. I'm not saying they have to add marriage in AC, but all the NPCs feel like husks. You can't become good friends with a villager and eventually go fishing together or something. There should be more to do with them than just inviting them to your house and getting random trades. AC is more like a dollhouse than an adventure, which isn't necessarily bad, but it's not what I want.

The multiplayer experience is not seamless for current players on the island. It's fucking stupid that you are forced to stop what you're doing while someone is joining or leaving an island. Fix that shit and then it's flawless.

Too grindy, feels like a mobile game with all the absurd resource requirements and all the timegating.

It was comfy and it felt like a summer vacation which I think would be intensified in a game with an island theme.

I'm astonished they didn't learn anything from New Leaf regarding online play. It's arguably worse this time around because you actually have to sit through someone else's loading screen on top of the scene with them walking through the gate.

the content drip is incredibly slow, for days and days you go doing the same monotonous tasks, until eventually the game hits a progression spike and it feels like you are actually playing it. However, it is still a fun game overall, but personally isn't worth the $60.

There's so much cool furniture that the majority of people haven't noticed/don't care. I was a big fan of the OG furniture sets, but having a moving coastal wallpaper with a bunch of nautical furniture is dope as hell.

I know it's probably to emphasise the "island survival" schtick but the breakable tool stuff should really only apply to super weak tools, with the ones you get later on being immune to it.
