I agree
I know it's probably to emphasise the "island survival" schtick but the breakable tool stuff should really only apply to super weak tools, with the ones you get later on being immune to it.

Breakable tools isn't a bad idea in itself, but at least make golden tools permanent, like they did with the Master Sword in BotW
