Which game has better combat?

Which game has better combat?
Sekiro or Nioh 2?

If I had to pick I'd go with sekiro. Nioh is still very good for character building and coop though.

Sekiro, clearly.

sekiro

cringe

Sekiro.

Nioh 2 by far.
Sekiro is so boring in comparison.
Nioh 2 has Weapon variety, stances, yokai abilities, weapon skills etc
I really grew bored of Sekiro's parry spam combat. Especially when they only let you equip 1 skill at a time.

retard

both niohs stomp all of soulsborne in combat, and especially sekiro. it has boring uninteractive rhythm based combat.

>parry spam combat
get filtered

Can you explain how sekiro's combat is uninteractive?

Sekiro

The game is easy as fuck.
All you do is Parry, which is really fucking forgiving, Mikiri ez mode, and ICHIMONJI LMAO

dumb casual

I like Sekiro for the prosthetic ninja spiderman part of the gameplay.

Combat-wise I prefer Soulsborne, though.

Nioh doesn't attract me in the least. Looks too much like Souls for me to care.

Is it another op asking for opinions only to dismiss everybody he doesn't agree with?

What holds back Nioh (2) is its enemy design. Human fights feel great mechanically but are too easily trivialized because specific skills are too strong for them and their AI is bad.

Yokai enemies, on the other hand, are totally braindead and rely entirely on having no hitstun, thrashing moves, and attacks with severe tracking. You just dodge their chain and unload your combo on them.

I would absolutely love for them to focus on improving human fights because they have so much more potential.

Elder Scrolls V Skyrim

>rely entirely on having no hitstun, thrashing moves, and attacks with severe tracking.
Really common in Sekiro as well, except many become immune to Hitstun when attacking.

Both games have a very strong block, but Nioh 2 allows use of multiple active skills instead of one at a time

I only played Sekiro so that.

I'm gonna say sekiro becase some butthurt fag is here getting mad about people not saying Nioh2.

Nioh 2 is stat chasing and you'll end one shotting bosses easy after numerous playthoughs.
Sekiro will always be challanging no matter how many ng+ you do.

lmfao

nioh 2 has more complexity and variety, but it's also much easier

Sekiro by far. Your moves are well thought out, playing it takes actual skill, your tools are situational and effective.

With Nioh you can break the game in a million ways because buffs and the terrible diablo loot bonuses just give insane benefits, half the moves you can learn are fucking worthless, at least one of the three stances is always useless for every weapon, your performance is 90% based on your items and not skill. Nioh is just pure and utter dogshit design-wise. It's like they buried a good game under a bunch of absolute trash mechanics.

This but unironically

Despite the superficial similarities, I don't think the two games warrant a comparison. They're too different.

So if you havent played it why even comment you attention whore lol

I see these comments a lot and its always from people who never leave low stance.

>Looks too much like Souls for me to care.
Yet they play so extremely differently

Sekiro because of better hitboxes and no clipping.

I see comments like yours a lot and it's always from shills or retards.

Sekiro, it's not even remotely a contest.

what does that make you? Just a faggot who responds to shills or retards?

why don't they have shields though

>I really grew bored of Sekiro's parry spam combat. Especially when they only let you equip 1 skill at a time
This was such a dumb design decision. Sekiro is an action game yet your moveset is so restricted by this. Even if they had real time switching of skills and arts, it would have much more room for creativity and gameplay freedom

nioh is a looter shooter equivalent of an action game. Its more about rng and what loot you have rather than pure gameplay. Sekiro is more of an action game with useless shit like loot management.

Nioh. Suckiro is just parry to win crap.

>wait, dude, did you respond to me just now?
Leaning more towards the retard now.

There's no loot management in Sekiro, what are you talking about?

nope, you've been past that threshold since birth tard

nigger go back and read what i said

my bad i meant without useless shit like loot management.

R1 R1 R1 L1 R1 R1 R1 L1

>n-no u
Case in point.

I hope you also understand the irony here. This has been much more than just 1 "n-no u".

what's uninteractive about pressing buttons?

woah imagine pressing buttons in video games.

>Sekiro is more of an action game with useless shit like loot management.

Maybe learn to write next time, retard.

In dark souls you did more than stand still and press bumpers

you didn't answer the question

Not really

Yeah that's why the game has caused the biggest amount of butthurt since ds1
Get fucked faggot

Also since you brainlets think pressing buttons is so fun and interactive you should try cookie clicker, I feel like Action games are a little too demanding for you guys

Nioh 2 by a mile.
Sekiro's combat is very shallow.

Yeah, of course. Some legit mentally handicapped dude like you calling anyone else retarded is the absolute height of irony. Anyone can see that.

Yeah man you pressed the O button instead that's so epic!

what do you do in action games besides press buttons?

You all sucked ass at Dark Souls as well. Which is even easier than Sekiro by a long shot

cmon, pal. You have to be a LITTLE more self-conscious than that lol.

>parrying is the primary defensive mechanic, with 4 other defensive options at the players hands
>"bro all you do is parry lmao"
Why do people act genuinley retarded about this game?

In Dark Souls all you do is hug the bosses ass and stab them, then use dodge for ever single attack they toss out. In Sekiro you attack them head on and either parry, run, dodge, jump, or mikiri their attack depending on the attack, you also use gadgets to take advantage of enemy quirks. Souls combat is much shallower. People always confuse the fact that you have multiple builds with depth, but those builds mean nothing if you can't switch between them in real time.

No you stood still and pressed button to block.

I do enjoy these threads where tards try to out elite each other

Sekiro has one button combat. Its laughable compared with Nioh.

You will find more interaction in sekiro than in other single player games. Most of your options rely on connecting with enemy attacks. Game is not flawless but there is no lack of interaction in sekiro.

sekiro easy, nioh is too easy and easy to cheese, still fun though

>a single weapon in nioh 2 has more move variation and options than Sekiro
>nioh 2 has several of these weapons all with 3 stances
>this in additional ki management, flux, etc.
Nioh 2
