The problem is undoing the climax of episode 2 and the most striking moment of the series up to that point: one of the resistance leaders and Alyx' father was dead, but now he isn't and presumably could be saved from any death in the future. The same goes for Gordon.

The problem is you're looking for anything to complain about. No matter how it ended you would've complained because you are poor and coping. We get it.
