MP2 has a bit of an MGS2 -syndrome going on in that it doesn't meet all the expectations people have coming from the first game. It also goes pretty deep into meta at one point in the plot. Still a pretty kino game though, but I just don't like it as much as the first.

Yeah, it's fucking fantastic. I remember trying to play MP1 as a kid on my Xbox but could never get far because it was just impossible for me to play a game without regenerating health. Decided to try the series again and played it back in January and had a blast with 1 and 2. 3 sucked dick
1's my favourite, it took a while to truly like it but once I got halfway it all just clicked and I loved it. When Sam Lake stopped being Payne's face I feel the magic of the series left, his face is just so god damn unique. 2 was okay, I didn't like it was much as 1 but it was still fine. 3 was a nightmare to play honestly, it felt like a GTA DLC. You could tell me I'm playing as a bald trevor and I'd believe it.
My favourite moment beyond YOU'RE IN A VIDEO GAME MAX was when you were storming the building at the end, taking out secret agents left and right and Horne just shouts on the speaker "HE'S JUST ONE COP, HE'S NOT INVINCIBLE. KILL MAX PAYNE" sent chills down my spine from just how badass it felt to storm this building with nothing but my Colt Commando and Pills.
Loved the music as well, Byzantine Power Game is probably my favourite track. Mr Big is good as well.

I love mp 1 and 2. Here are my 2 big tips
separate shoot dodge and bullet time. On pc at least, its default the same button. You want the ability to go into bullet time while moving without shootdodge jumping.
Secondly, get the first person mods when you finish the first time. Also use regedit to unlock the hardest difficulty
