Just got this on sale. What am I in for besides kinda fun traversal and a really qt Cat?

An incredibly tedious game worse than its predeseccor

Loads of zanny characters, helping them with their goofy situations, fantasy cityscapes that look like what you used to imagine as a kid and colorful fun for your eyes and ears which can be rare in modern videogames.
If you think that music and designs are useless components of a game or that ambience is a made up thing then you might not enjoy it at all.

She's great because she beats up bad guys and is a real hero but she doesn't spread a message of hate.

Imagine hating fun to such an extent. I bet those people love Life is Strange.
Did you like Life is Strange 2?

... As opposed to?

Western sheboons with sad backstories and a blatant hatred of their own femininity.

Not sure if this is the same thing but you reminded me of the trope where you have a 'strong' female character, and it turns out the reason why she's so strong is because she was either emotionally, physically, or sexually abused at one or multiple points.

I don't know if that's a thing with the japs, but it seems to pop up very often here. Luckily Gravity Rush at least seems like a happy place without all that jank. Kat is happy.

The games have such a cool concept, but they clearly struggle to come up with missions to make use of it. Most of them are "point here and fall that way" or "lol no using your powers, this is a trial and error stealth mission again!"

Well, I'm still only in the starting area with Lisa. I just did the quest where you have to collect all the ducks.

It's pretty comfy, but not a lot of places to have fun. Also, am I the only one who likes Syd? He's a pretty glorious bastard.
