It seems most likely that, after Elden Ring, if FromSoftware made a sequel it'd be either Sekiro 2 or Bloodborne 2.
Which would you prefer and why?

Neither. The games are perfectly complete. I want a new world.
You’re already getting that, fampai.
Bloodborne if I'm perfectly honest. The nip setting doesn't interest me much.
A bloodborne precuel with the pthumeru plot
just make something different already
Sekiro because I'm getting tired of european settings. We barely have any action games set in medieval asian countries.
They are..
I don't want a sekiro sequel, I just want some dlc. The dlc in fromsoft games is usually the best part.
And then another after that.
Oh yeah? Show me the gameplay
they should make a sequel to dark souls 1
I'm ready for a new Armored Core
I've been ready for a new Armored Core for a long time.
but yeah, Bloodborne >>>>>> Sekiro and it's not even close. Only katana-enthusiasts would disagree.
So you think that they're just not making the game they say they are after 6 games.
Bloodborne. Out of Souls, Borne and Sekiro, I far prefer Souls gameplay, but if it's down to those two, it's gonna be BB for me. Sekiro has damn fine gameplay, but I'm too old for that split second party timing gameplay, with no alternative way to play around it. I simply don't have those reactions anymore. It's still playable and conoleteable, but the effort it takes me to do so is of a magnitude that it detracts from my experience, where the challenge of Souls added to it. Objectively, I think its great gameplay, but subjectively, it's not for me. So I'd hope for BB.
I'd like a Sekiro expansion. Great game, but doesn't have much replayability after you do each ending. I want new content.
i'd say Bloodborne because i love the setting and wouldn't mind seeing more of it
but i'm also wary of sequels for games that don't necessarily need them
i'd just rather see a Demon's Souls remaster
yes I dont trust fromsoft
armored core 4 was shit
I'd like some Sekiro DLC that expands on the senpou style because that shit is rad as fuck.
I thought Sekiro was underwhelming with a lot of wasted potential. It would benefit from sequel far more than Bloodborne.
I don't know how they could pull off a Bloodborne sequel because that tonal switch after Rom is very important and they can't replicate that.
Either way new IP is what i would prefer.
I want a new armored core, too. Honestly I just want a not-souls game from Fromsoft
Armored Core
Sekiro, Nioh 2, Ghosts of whatever, they outnumber the medieval european ones recently as far as I can recall.
Imagine making the same game for 11 years and fans still don't want anything different.
While I enjoyed Sekiro a lot less than BB, I feel like it has the most potential to improve with a sequel. BB feels complete, but Sekiro lacked something to me.
I'd like to see more movement options, new weapons, a more open map with some metroidvania styled struxture to them. I keep thinking of the swimming power that you get for no reason, but it retroactively unlocks a bunch of places that you couldn't get to before. That was the closest it got qnd I wanted more like that.
I feel like Bloodborne still has a ton of missed potential whereas Sekiro already milked its concept dry. But I also prefer the victorian/gothic/lovecraft setting to feudal japan anyway.
Sekiro.
Attack attack, parry, attack, mikiro counter, attack, jump on head, attack attack, dodge feels just so much better than diagonal forward dashing through the whole game.
Bloodborn was just doing the same shit over and over again with unnecessary long pathing between each bosstry.
I also wouldnt mind BB if they take sekiros combat mechanics, autorestoring flasks, closer respawnpoints and better loading times.
>why don't Halo fans want Bungie to make a JRPG??
I’m praying for ravens but with each passing year I’m losing hope, I heard they were planning a new AC game but that was a couple years ago.
Bloodborne with Sekiro's mechanics. Mainly the skill trees and the focus on parrying as opposed to dodging all the time. You can leave out the grappling hook parkour if you want.
I feel like Bloodborne had more effort put into Maria, Ludwig and Orphan than most of the main game bosses, and Sekiro had even more bosses of a similar quality, so I'd like to see a Bloodborne sequel with several bosses of that caliber.
A bloodborne prequel starring Djura
>Another Soulsborne game please mister Miyagi-santa!
Really? You'd want a whole story with a character who dies unceremoniously by dodge-rolling off of a tower?
>fuck you for enjoying things
I want them to make a game in a Japanese setting but have it actually be an RPG
>You there, hunter. Didn't you see the warning? Turn back at once.
Bloodborne, easy.
As long as it's not fucking PS5 exclusive garbage.
Bloodborne if it'd be a different city/culture. Just have the idea of old ones, but differnet ones with different characters etc.
People used to speculate that Bloodborne 2 would have some mesoamerican vibes. That would be really cool imo.
I know it's never going to happen but a man can dream.
Elden Ring 2
just the fact that a setting is underused doesn't mean it's good
I agree. Playing Bloodborne blind made that mid-game shift incredible. A sequel would probably feel like going through the motions if they tried it again.
Just because a story has a twist doesn't mean they can't make a sequel without a twist. It's not like the twist is all Bloodborne had going for it. A sequel could take place assuming that the player knows that there are Cthulu monsters behind everything.
You mean some type of settings are inherently bad? They aren't. It depends on talent and creativity to make something of it.
Elden Ring 2gether
Why does it seem likely?
Bloodborne even if it doesn't need a sequel.
I can't stand sekiro atmosphere despite the good gameplay.
Chromehounds 2
My /m/an
It was a sad day when the servers got shutdown. I spent hours playing that game, they nailed the combat.
Bloodborne.
Bloodborne 2, I'm still rooting for it to happen, I think a good setup would be that the game takes place some time after the BB player character turns into a great one, and humanity starts to lose its form because the player character great one is trying to elevate it into a new type of existence, blurring the line between dreams and reality, gods and humans, so there's more great ones coming down to impregnate women and people are going mad and turning into weird monsters, not only beast anymore, Yharnam gets absolutely fucked, the healing church is no more, but hunters become more popular since there's even more monsters to kill this time, so there's new workshops and factions, more trick weapons and maybe a new level stat or two? Like Faith or Luck or some shit. The point of the game would be to choose between keeping humanity as is, fucked but human, or to fuck shit even more and join the gods and turn everything into a dream, becoming a vessel for blood echoes, so dark souls endings but in reverse.
Bloodborne is my favorite game of all time and I'd rather see something new or a Sekiro sequel. The combat system was goo good, but it's a shame that you only use it to its fullest potential in like 3 fights in the game
Fromsoft
BERSERK
I get that there are similarities, but FromSoft games in atmosphere are nothing like Berserk. The manga is high-energy, very character driven, very energetic and ovet the top. Dark Souls games are more melancholic, sad and give you that feeling of isolation. The characters have usually given up to some degree and rarely have that agressive personalities.
I prefer Bloodborne to Sekiro, but would appreciate a Sekiro II more. Making the journey west with the rice maiden and Kuro would be nice, hopefully with some Journey to the West nods. My greatest complaint against Sekiro is the lack of variety in areas and enemies, and I'm sure a sequel with a long pilgrimage would fix that.
Also, Demon's Souls Remastered for PS4 please
Bloodborne. That'd be lit. Fuck all these losers spouting bullshit about it already being complete. Such a retarded opinion.
Can someone explain to me how having a sequel ruins the first game? Is Dark Souls 1 ruined because they made DS2 and DS3?
They will not be making a Sekiro sequel. I do see them making a Bloodborne sequel, but it seems more likely to me that they'll continue developing new worlds.
I'd kill to have a Bloodborne sequel.
>I prefer Bloodborne to Sekiro, but would appreciate a Sekiro II more.
Doesn't make sense.
I don't know if a continuation of the story would be good. Balancing Sekiro would be pretty hard. Where could he go from who he was at the end of the last game gameplay-wise? Is there space for more skill? More prosthetics? On the other hand some asspull move like making him lose his hand, skills and strength would be bad in its own right.
Shuhei isn't the president of SIE anymore so there won't be a Bloodborne 2, he is a huge fan of From and the only reason it happened
Activision funds games like Sekiro once in a blue moon
Most likely scenario is we're getting another 3 game deal with Bamco's shitty budget and time constraints
It makes sense. Bloodborne doesn't have more room to grow cause it's already a perfect game.
I know that. I'm not saying it's impossible but a major part of the appeal of Bloodborne is exploring this incredible mysterious world and uncovering its secrets. A sequel to it would be like the DLC which is fine but didn't really build up on the strength of the main game.
Bloodborne
>same old gimmicky stuff(dodge, weapon transformations, pseudo victorian era, tentacle ayylmaos)
Sekiro
>potential for new stuff( new moves, improved gameplay, new chinese/korean lore)
Only brainlets would choose BB, same people who begged for DS sequel.
