How would you design Sekiro 2?

How would you design Sekiro 2?

locked framerate

Make more emphasis on strategy and stealth and less emphasis on parry spamming.

I wouldn't, the storyline is basically complete in my opinion. Better to make dlcs I think

female ninja with skintight suit and large breasts

>prosthetic executions
>better stealth a.i.
>dismemberment

Not even 5 posts and a coomer ruins it

By instead making Tenchu

from a gameplay standpoint these, but from a story standpoint I have no idea, why wouldn't chinks or gooks want their dragon back?

being able to get different weapons that have unique combat arts, more useful prosthetics, being able to switch combat arts on the fly instead of in a menu or being able to bind multiple combat arts to different button combinations a la Fluid Combat Arts mod, being able to replay bosses any time you want (not necessary, but i've always wanted this feature for souls games and even more so for Sekiro given how fun it is), more consumable items, make the game longer, did i miss anything essential?

I would prefer a expansion that just adds cool new content.

But here's what I'd want out of a sequel:
>massive improvements to the stealth mechanics
>replace spirit emblems with a less restrictive system
>on-the-fly prosthetic switching
>more mini-boss variety
>more enemies that are able to chase the player over long distances/heights
>stealth boss similar to Vulcan Raven or Mr. Freeze, where you have to use different stealth techniques against a single powerful enemy
>better idol placement
>more interconnected world design that doesn't require warping
>warping has to be unlocked
>make dragonrot more punishing or replace it with something else
>follows the "Return" ending, takes place in Korea

Sekiro is already a really fun game, but if you
>allowed the usage of several different skill moves at once instead of having to switch with the inventory
>and several different prosthetics without having to switch with the inventory
>maybe another secondary weapon like a naginata
>dismemberment
it'd be perfecto.
You could have Sekiro take the Divine Child to the "West", which is, in this instance, China. So you could have a whole new locale. You could also take Sekiro to Europe. It really doesn't matter.
There's any number of weird psuedo-nonfiction shit you can do for a sequel.
Sekiro is a whole-ass man. Changing that would actively take away from the appeal

Unique prostheics you get from beating bosses and transposing what you get from them to cool shit.

Sekiro is actually the first of the Souls Era From games that has had a world that's as interconnected as DS1 that doesn't require warping. Once you get to Ashina Castle you can really go to any zone in the game if you wanted to, and you move so quickly if you sprint and grapple that warping doesn't even need used to get around quickly in its current state

Sekiro 1 but with Dark Souls 1 worlds design. Maybe some more variety in the levels because a lot of the areas kinda blend together in my head.

This but you can fuck the prince

See DS2 is open right at the start but takes you down linear paths, DS2 and Bloodborne are mostly linear, but Sekiro is the only game since DS1 that has actually had a big interconnected world. It's actually one of the best things about the game

Make me play as lizard man

make it 100% pvp

>No teleportation for the first half
>Remove stealth as a whole
>Enemies can deathblow you if you get posture broken
>No Kuro's Charm from the get go
>make the prosthetic and combat arts viable
>You can grapple wherever you want to no grapple points
>integrate the grapple hook into the combat
>NPCs can die permanently from Dragonrot
>Start off with 5 healings gourds
>A single gourd seed
>Nothing should increase the percentage of HP you can heal from start of the game like Blooodborne

Grapple swing like in AOT or spiderman, more in-air attacks

It's true that it's better than post-DaS Soulsborne in that respect, but the fact of the matter is it still has warping from the get-go and also has some really vertical levels that are either really annoying to backtrack in or impossible.

China prequel or sequel. Ninja tools are now their own weapons. Multiple combat arts can be used at once.

I don't know if every enemy should be able to deathblow you but it would be cool if bosses could. That's something Owl would do.

Better ai so they can't just swing through each other and hit through a body.

They should've made it so if you had demon bell curse, enemies can death blow kill you

Enemies already can deathblow you if you get posture broken

I’m still hurt we’re never getting dlc

>Actual weapons other than Katana
>More beast encounters like the Snake and Guardian Ape
>Grappling hook can grab onto any ledge instead of specific things
>Maybe an actual proper hub area or town with people in
>Useful prosthetics and not enemy specific ones
>More in-depth mystical elements, we get to the Dragon and it kind of just ends whereas BB explored the "unseen".
>CO-OP
>Journey to China to find the origin of the Dragon

Thoughts lads?

can they? The only thing I can think of would be owl and genichiro having special moves for when you're knocked down

all are good except COOP, that would never work with Sekiro's combat system

Apart from Owl which enemy does that?

It's not a deathblow but some enemies have special attacks if they break your posture and knock you down

>Game is hard
>LUL MAKE IT HARDURR IM SUCH A SKILLED PLAYER XD GIT GUD LEL

normal enemies can also deathblow you, I've head it happen on the normal enemies in ashina outskirts

>>Grappling hook can grab onto any ledge instead of specific things

People keep saying this, but do you actually want to aim this?

1. Buff combat arts, and allow several to be equipped at once. I almost never used any besides Ichimonji Double and Mortal Draw.
2. Different weapons, but only one of each type (one sword, one spear, etc). Each weapon type should have its own advantages and disadvantages.
3. Expanded stealth system.

There aren't any enemies that can do that. Not even Owl, he just mikiri counters your thrust

Story is a terrible standpoint to start game design from

5 heals from the start makes the game harder?
Well i've never seen it.

user Owl can deathblow you
stop spouting false information

shut the fuck up

I kinda wish that ememies would get spooked and run away if you kill enough of them. It would be based on damage taken and how many there are. Like if you fight five bandit mooks, and if you killed four but taken a lot of hits, he'll still fight you. But if you killed all four without taking a scratch, the last one will run away screaming like the ashina mooks during the first ministry invasion.

make consumables more useful

Attached: 1554029755108.jpg (500x374, 69.3K)

I meant to write a single gourd heals significantly more health

What do you mean by deathblow?

Nah no aim, just press the button and it attatches to the nearest surface like Spiderman

you will never guess, genichiro comes back

two more times!

Owl has a special grab if he breaks your posture.

does he?!!?!

>Sekiro is the only game since DS1 that has actually had a big interconnected world. It's actually one of the best things about the game
I really didn't give a shit about this while playing Sekiro, not sure whether it's you or me that's autistic.

Yes, I can't find a video about it tho, but he did manage to deathblow several times before I could finally manage to beat him

Bloodborne has more of an interconnected world akin to Dark Souls than Sekiro.

Yes, he kicks you to the ground and stabs you. The neatest detail about it is how he also holds his left hand up in prayer like Wolf.

You play as a female character, wearing only a few bits of string, you have massive torpedo titties that shake wildly when you attack and parry.

i just wanna fight tomoe

You

Wolf does that to both his mentor when he kill them

...

Why is there a green cloud by the Wolf? Is he stinky? XD

Is it a conincidence that emma and wolf were both picked up by shinobis but ended up differently?

that's cause Scultpor knew that she would just have a shitty life if he kept her

You didn't care because it didn't really matter, since you can just warp everywhere.

Only the first half, second half is a teleportfest.

This.

Make it more like Tenchu and less like Souls.

Just give you more of a reason to use arts and prosthetics, scrap the emblems and give you limited uses or something until you rest at an idol.
And maybe being able to equip 2-3 arts at the same time, the amount of prosthetics was pretty fair in that regard, but the cost was ass.
Also give you the choice from the get go to get rid of Kuro's charm, forcing easy mode down your throat without realizing was smart, but the game is more entertaining without.

just play on pc if fps is important?

MAKE THE MAIN CHARACTER AS BIG AS JUZOU THE DRUNKARD! I AM SO FUCKING SICK OF PLAYING MANLETS IN VIDEO GAMES! LITERALLY EVERYONE WAS TALLER THEN SEKIRO!

AND GIVE HIM A TREE OF A SWORD!

Combat arts should give 80% damage reduction and grant high poise. I can't stand being interrupted while doing one mind

What do you mean second half? After Rom you only have Yhar'gul and Mensis.

Nah, timing should be important.

No, Bloodborne is pretty linear. You can go in a straight line from Central Yharnam, to Cathedral Ward, to Old Yharnam (optionally), back to Cathedral Ward, to Forbidden Forest, to Byrgenwerth, to Yahar'gul, then to Mensis. And that's the game. You have four more additional paths but they're completely optional. You have the chalice dungeons too but you never need to go through them.

In Sekiro you go two areas unlocked from the start (Outskirts and Hirata). Then once you reach the castle you have three more areas (Mibu and the depths, Senpou, Valley). Then you can go back to Hirata and Mibu if you choose the right endings. On top of that the layout for Outskirts and the Castle changes after going through Fountainhead. Many of these areas loop back into each other in some way even if a couple have dead ends after the boss.

The best part about Sekiro's open world is that, despite being so interconnected, the game itself tells you there's a proper order if you want it through the scenery.
It makes sense but it never enforces it and everything is super well connected.

I want this guy to be a really good friend who always is down for games and chillin. I wish I had more than one friend who is busy all the time :(

THATS EXACTLY WHAT I MEAN!

FUCK MANLETS! MANLET GENOCIDE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!

I know that the buddha valley loops into the sunken valley, and senpou temple loops into the buddha valley.
And there's Ashina outskirts that leads to senpou temple via a secret passage
There's also the abandoned dungeon, who has several entrances making it possible to skip the purple ninja in the well.

Useless timing when the boss can poise through it since one mind takes too fucking long to finish
