the DLC is called the black sea, it has some of the best dialogue in the game, you start it at level 15 i think? in the docks of core city, and and depending who you side with it can be frustrating but rewarding
also, a piece of advice that i ignored when i went into it for the first time, GENOCIDE THE NATIVES AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, don't make my mistake and let them live thinking there's some lore or quests related to them.
And the shotguns are fucking anywhere, with enough persuassion you'll get a shotgun at your starting weapon, i think you need 30, but to get the shotgun belt you'll have to wait a long fucking time

SMG build is arguably the most powerful fun build, provided you pick the correct feats/stats.
Wizard hammer is a meme build promoted by one of the Underrail autists always lurking this board. That being said wizard (psi) builds are all overpowered no matter what route you go with it.
