You only hate it because its popular

I’m indifferent to it as a whole, but the concept is interesting.

I hated it because it seemed pretty rng heavy, but I only played it for about 20 minutes.

FnaF 1,2 and 3 were horrorkino. Getting the true ending for 3 felt like the series should've ended there and since it was the last one I played, it is as far as I'm concerned.
Then it got milked to death.

Now that I think of it, FNAF is like nega-SMBZ.
> Autistic but innately easy to understand concept with a childish veneer made notable by its execution

SL was just okay. UCN was pretty good
But from a narrative standpoint it should've ended at 3, yeah

I'm actually a big fan of the series and story that's being built, but I really don't enjoy how a once interesting string of murders from a batshit guy turned into him trying to harness the souls of children for one reason or another. If Scott kept the plot a little more simple and stopped trying to merge the game plot with the book plot, the series would arguably be perfect.

The original game's lore isn't even that complex
It's simply just
>Five kids got lured back and killed
>They now possess the five suits

>check out this new horror game
>keep up with the franchise from 1-3
>kids go murdered, haunt animatronics, a "purple guy" was the culprit, puppet was behind the animatronic possessions
>okay cool
>stop paying attention for a while
>come back to check out the lore
>magic ghost glue, purple man just fucking doesn't die, vore robots, whatever the fuck Ennard is
Genuinely I think the series shat itself to death after FNAF 3

It really did go haywire when he tried to connect the books with the games. Purp just being this mysterious child serial killer that finally got his commupants and but refused to die and ended up possessing the springtrap suit the same was his victims possessed the animatronics was fine
Once the spooky ectoplasm shit got introduced shit went weird

No, I just legitimately find the gameplay boring and unfun. I think the lore that fans have come up with is pretty interesting though.
