>fnaf
>popular
umm sweaty its not 2017
>implying i once hated it
lmao no
I hated it because the dev took a genuinely creepy one-off premise that was soulful and self-contained because he thought would be his last game and milked it into infinity.
Hello.
Honestly, I thought everything up to three was pretty good. It bounced back though with the VR game and whatnot.
>hate it
I don't hate it, I just don't like it or care about it.
Is fnaf 3 the best one?
That's fair, but you can really tell if you play just 1 that it was supposed to be self contained.
> Phone guy is the murderer
> No fucking sister location, no old location, just this one, bite happened here
> Golden freddy has his ghost in it
> that's literally it
The simplicity was part of the charm.
>> Phone guy is the murderer
Fucking what?
> animatronics are obviously haunted from day one
> there are four dead kids and four animatronics, no fucking ennard, no special hauntable metal element, four dead kids
> phone guy is obviously killed by the animatronics, on the night that golden freddy appears
> phone guy was apparently around during the original murders
It's not concrete, but before the other games came out 1's plot was supposed to be cut and dry. Nobody would be dumb enough to leave a cliffhanger or unresolved plot thread on a game they thought they would never follow up, right?
Phone guy being golden Freddy always checked out sice, like you said, he only appears after he dies on the tape
But him being the child killer makes no sense. If the kids wanted revenge for their deaths and they killed the man that killed them, why are they still here?
Give me your best lore videos
I guess my thought was that they'd have no motivation to kill phone guy after he stopped being the nightguard unless he was their murderer, but I can see where that logic falls apart. Maybe it was open ended after all. Doesn't mean the series didn't turn into a clusterfuck eventually.
Does Yas Forums even hate it anymore? Seems to me the board just went through a phase of acting like it's this really cringey thing due to the fanbase and once that passed we were willing to admit it was a pretty cool idea.
It really started turning into a clusterfuck when times and dates were being thrown left and right
I still remember when the first game was a FOTW game this board couldn't stop talking about.
I don't hate it
but I wish scott would stop fucking around with it for one second to fucking make the desolate abandon
Well, that started with the first game and the "Bite of 87" silliness
I find it hilarious how the bite of 87 means nothing now in the grand scheme of all the other crazy shit that has happened in the timeline
The fact that there's a completely different bite that happened makes it even more irrelevant
I’m indifferent to it as a whole, but the concept is interesting.
I hated it because it seemed pretty rng heavy, but I only played it for about 20 minutes.
FnaF 1,2 and 3 were horrorkino. Getting the true ending for 3 felt like the series should've ended there and since it was the last one I played, it is as far as I'm concerned.
Then it got milked to death.
Now that I think of it, FNAF is like nega-SMBZ.
> Autistic but innately easy to understand concept with a childish veneer made notable by its execution
SL was just okay. UCN was pretty good
But from a narrative standpoint it should've ended at 3, yeah
I'm actually a big fan of the series and story that's being built, but I really don't enjoy how a once interesting string of murders from a batshit guy turned into him trying to harness the souls of children for one reason or another. If Scott kept the plot a little more simple and stopped trying to merge the game plot with the book plot, the series would arguably be perfect.
The original game's lore isn't even that complex
It's simply just
>Five kids got lured back and killed
>They now possess the five suits
>check out this new horror game
>keep up with the franchise from 1-3
>kids go murdered, haunt animatronics, a "purple guy" was the culprit, puppet was behind the animatronic possessions
>okay cool
>stop paying attention for a while
>come back to check out the lore
>magic ghost glue, purple man just fucking doesn't die, vore robots, whatever the fuck Ennard is
Genuinely I think the series shat itself to death after FNAF 3
It really did go haywire when he tried to connect the books with the games. Purp just being this mysterious child serial killer that finally got his commupants and but refused to die and ended up possessing the springtrap suit the same was his victims possessed the animatronics was fine
Once the spooky ectoplasm shit got introduced shit went weird
No, I just legitimately find the gameplay boring and unfun. I think the lore that fans have come up with is pretty interesting though.
I feel like everyone can agree that FNAF shat the bed post-FNAF3
I stopped trying to make sense of FNAF from the third game. Good on MatDad and the rest of the autists on Reddit for trying to piece together this contrived mess.
fnaf 1 was actually scary when it first came out. For like the first 20ish minutes. I feel like once you get a pattern it isn't scary
The original game was cool, dark, had a sense of real grimy, real-world style decay and menace with obvious pseudoparanormal elements. Everything was unsaid and you had to draw your own conclusions about the nature of what was going on and figure everything out yourself.
The second game immediately ruined all that and established way too much "lore" and characters and shit. It's lame and all the threat is gone.
If I jerk off to the animatronics, am I a necrophiliac, a pedophilic or both?
Springtrap is really cool but I don't like how the series stop caring about the idea of animatronics killing you by stuffing you into suits and crushing you to death, that was one of the freakiest parts about fnaf 1
I think it's alright though. Not the best but not the worst either
Reminder.
I don't hate it tho
Can't wait to meet you
Why do the books fuck up Baby so much?
youtube.com
You have to admit, it is kinda catchy
Both and a furry.
You jerked it to toy chica, didn't you?
oh god is this that same group/person who made "undertale the musical"
it must be, what's with the huge eyes with the lower lids coming up
it's disgusting and awful to look at
I have nothing but respect for Scott.
>made games to try and support his family while also being about his faith
>people mocked them because of how his characters looked like creepy animatronics
>decides to make an actual horror game featuring animatronics
>becomes filthy rich off of it
>realizes fnaf 1 was the perfect recipe of timing, mystery, length, and enjoyment and decides to work his ass off to capitalize on the hype he knows will eventually die down
>ends up with a networth of $60 million
Not gonna lie, i thought those were condoms
The games after 3 were still pretty good. I loved 4 and Pizzeria Sim. If you play 1, 2, 3, 4, SL, PS, and UCN, you get a complete story with absolutely no loose ends.
I don’t hate it at all, I love the series, also most people only hate it because it’s popular to hate
I don't even think about it
Deep philosophical answers
Stupid sexy bird
No, I hate it because everything past the 3rd game was unnecessary
>completely abandoned by Scott after UCN
What did she do to deserve this?
You're based
It's honestly fine for what it is.
Why did Slick Willy kill the kids?
i'm only here for mangle porn. wake me up when that starts getting posted
