im not sure I think older western games were better like Gauntlet Wizardry and Doom (with HeXen) but seems like most of them now want to tell a story rather focus entirely on gameplay like with wizardry a dated game i can still have fun with because it's not totally convoluted with plot elements and such you're just dungeon crawling with your homies keeping them alive from being one shot by stronger enemies

Whenever someone posts an FPS or something else seen remotely as "western" they go "AMERICANS CANT MAKE GAMES", even though the number 1 selling video game of all time is a Western game, and the third is an American game.
